I would have set the adaptive cruise in my LUX, SAS, OBX. That way it could intervene on my behalf for a random deer while I comfortably listened to my favorite play list on Ford+Alexa nestled in my heated leather seat, while my hands stayed toasty from the heated wheel. The cabin temp would be easily maintained with a quick glance at my digital temp control knobs. I may have even engaged my front and rear lockers for that random palm sized Boulder!!! Just poking a little fun, glad you enjoy your wild track.
The only significant difference between a 2.7, lux, Sasquatch OBX and a lux, WildTrak with HOSS 2.0 is the interior colors. Of course, if you have to have the WildTrak interior colors, then this is enough to justify your choice. ;)

I would have been every bit as enthusiastic about taking that dirt road in my non-sasquatch OBX. Also, I think that I might have been tempted to use the adaptive cruise control, but I don't think that it would have saved me from any deer - lol.

Once you Sasquatch it there is no difference is between the Wildtrak and any other trim beside a couple GOAT modes is my point.
I read his statement as meaning he doesn't regret choosing something other than a Badlands, and was possibly split on the decision, since it was marketed as the "most capable".

Thus, he ended up with the one he wanted and can still do everything he wants to do, and more.

Bingo!!!! That is exactly what he was saying. Don't know why some here have to jump someones ass for being happy with their bronco and validating their own choice. Love my Wildtrack and glad I didn't get the badlands for several reasons.

Some here like to voice how much they hate Iconic Silver, but it looks great to me and many others who compliment it. There are several color options (I won't mention) that I wouldn't let park in my driveway. Point is keep your opinions of someones enjoyment to yourself.

The BL would have been preformed just as well, same suspension (HOSS 2.0), But you're correct in one thing. If you're not going to be doing any rock crawling the then the WT is probably the better option for you since there's no real reason for having or paying for the sway bar disconnect.

" The Base Model Ford Bronco is designed much more for highway and city driving than going off-road, so Ford decided to put a high-quality highway-terrain tire on it from the factory — the Bridgestone Dueler H/T"
The last set of Bridgestone/Firestones I had delaminated at under 1000 miles. Still pissed off about it. First thing I'll do is upgrade to Generals or Coopers.

This is what we have devolved into in this brave new social media world we live in. OP wasn’t bashing on any other trim. Can’t just congratulate someone and let them be happy with their new WT……gotta have people come out and justify their own choices by ripping on someone else.

And I happen to think he’s right. Ripping down a dirt or back road in Baja or Sport mode is exactly what the WT excells at. Light rig, Plastic bumpers, no heavy steel bash plates, TTV6, 10spd auto, wide Sas profile all may be a detriment in the rocks, but not on a gravel/dirt road.
There’s not a trim that can do what he described better or even as well. I won’t get into the limitations of other trims because they all have their purpose and appeal……but f*r F*+k sakes people, let the guy have his moment.

It may take my Bad Lands a few minutes longer to conquer that run, but sitting in my awesome interior makes the extra time unimportant.
Of all the (somewhat-justified) derision the WT takes, this is one gripe I will never understand.

If you had picked, say, the blue interior of the OBX as a comparison I'd get it, but the 50 shades of black and gray badlands? Really?

let the dude enjoy his truck! I have a ZR2 Bison, which has similar capabilities to a bronco, and I was amazed at how easily it flew down a gravel road with washboards at 75mph, like it was nothing... it's a pretty cool experience :)
