I intend to be one of the few to attempt and not do many modifications to my Bronco. It’s going to be used to travel and have some fun in the Sand Dunes that are decently close to my area, much more often than truly rock crawling. with that being said, which should I get a Badlands, or a Wildtrak? I love the knowledge I’ve gained here so far, looking gain a little more. Cheers!

Personally, I'm sticking with the wildtrak. Like you, I don't intend to do a lot of rock crawling. But I do intend to have fun in the sand and snow.... And I like to go fast...so there is that.

In your position for the things you want to do, sounds like Wildtrac. I don't want the squatch, so it is Badlands for me.

I've gone back and forth on these two trims but recently settled on Badlands non-squatch. It's better suited for my preferences and planned use.

Sounds like Wildtrak may be better suited for you though...

Honestly I think it just comes down to what interior you want. Badlands if you want washout interior, Wildtrak if you want carpet.
You can basically configure the BL to have all the remaining features of the WT anyway...

The Wildtrak is supposed to be the “desert runner” trim “developed and tested at Johnson Valley, Ca.” I’m assuming it would be best for sand dunes stock. I’m leaning towards the Wildtrak for desert/dunes. It is also the only trim level with BOTH Sport and Baja GOAT modes. Disappointed it doesn’t have the wash out interior (rubber floors/vinyl seats) and the steel bumpers though. Would also like the option of manual transmission with the V6.

Most people will spend their time 5% rock-crawling and the rest on the road......for me i love the power and speed and intend to do more sand dune running. Also do a lighter end on rock-crawling.......Wild track is more than capable on that plus gives you all the high end comfort I like.......best priced for that. Will modify after to suite.

I'm going Badlands. Not really because I am on technical trails a lot. I just want the ability to go up to Lux package, still have washout floors (I have lots of dogs) and I get all the Sasquatch stuff but can run the 33 inch tires and still get a manual transmission that way.

Going with the Wildtrack, has everything I want (2.7, auto, hardtop and 35's). Would like steel bumpers but have a feeling there will eventually be steel bumpers I like more on the after market.

Prefer trail running but if I do some rock crawling will just take my Rubicon for that.

Personally, the Wildtrak is my beast of choice. It comes standard with almost everything I'm wanting. and as much as I dig the Badlands, I'm not intending to do any hardcore rock crawling. So, I just wouldn't be fully utilizing most of its features.

Badlands... I'm Bias.
You can Wildtrak a Badlands, but you cannot Badlands a Wildtrak.

Get what you want, not what you think others might want you to get.
Do you just copy/paste this everywhere? HAHAHAH (Playing around)

Front steel bumpers is an $800 option for WT
