Windshield frame material?

Apparently the drive side A pillar was hit when I put my front hard top back. The scratch looks deeper than just clear coat. Anybody know what that part is made of? If it’s just a plastic cover over the frame, I will just leave the scratch untouched.

Probably aluminum. Definitely not a plastic cover.

I found a part number, M2SZ-78211A11-AA, looks like the one but the only info I can find is 4lbs weight.

I tested the part with magnet, it’s steel. I will touch up the scratch just in case.

Part of the rollbar, isn't it? If so, it's "ultra high strength boron steel." Whatever that means.

I've been told the external skin is non structural and the boron roll bar is under it.

Yes, that external piece is definitely not structural but it seems to be steel as well.
