I’ve read the threads on Wolfbox etc, but wondering if anyone has gone the route of using a wireless cam with a separate screen for a front trail cam. Reason I am leaning this way is thay I think I would want a bigger screen to look at when I am using the cam to spot lines. And I could put away the screen when I’m not using it. Many options on Amazon so wondering if anyone has used this type of setup with a cam they like.

I had a different brand of wireless I tried. Constant connectivity issues and nothing but frustration. I ripped it out and got a wired system, same brand as you linked above. Direct connect to the battery and had a quick connect for the screen. So the reliability of a wired connection, but can disconnect and store the screen when not in use.

I installed a cheap Amazon one that goes to my phone. It still requires a power connection, but it uses WiFi for a video signal.

You can't use Wireless Carplay and this at the same time. I stopped using Wireless carplay anyway, and even before I did that I had planned to just set up a second phone or ipad for a screen

Connection is ok, but I have had it drop and need to reboot the camera if I use it for long stretches.

It's very much inferior to a wired camera, but it was $25 and I threw it on when I installed my winch.

Good for seeing a stump or rock is up over the hill crest, but that's about it. Definitely not a substitute for getting out and taking a look.
