At the very least I wish it would stay in the prior mode, especially if in 2H. I'd drive in sport 2H all the time if I didn't have to remember to press OK within 300ms of starting up.

What I would really like is to be able to configure my own mode and leave it there all the time.

I drive in normal mode, have never changed it. I have tried ECO mode in other vehicles and the gas mileage actually drops every time. Sport Mode I am concerned will burn too much gas. So normal mode and very light foot for me.

I read on here once that people have experienced better mileage in Sport Mode

No sport mode :( Have not done any forescans yet, but I do have the Ford tune. So my normal get up and go!

As I have told others, I have a GT500 in the garage for those need for speed moments. Heck my 68 can deliver butt-cheek clenchers as well :)

Sport mode in 2WD has saved more fuel for me than eco mode ever did. I don't understand why manufacturers offer an eco mode if sport is more fuel efficient....surely they test these things?

I have been using Sport mode in 2wd on certain beaches I frequent b/c it’s about 15 miles up the beach to my destination and the sand is not bad enough for Sand mode/4wd. Overkill. Need to make 20-25 mph or it takes forever.
Saturday I tried 4H and Sport mode and it did great for about 1/2 mile before I got a message saying “mode not allowed- service 4 WD”. That freaked me out since I had 15 miles back to the hard pack and thought I broke something. Turned it off, then back on and still had 4wd .
So, my question is can you run sport mode in 4H? I do not have the advanced track transfer case, just basic 2H, 4H, 4L.
