Beach looks a little rough, I always make sure to check high and low tide because some sections there isn't that much beach especially around the one house I see in one of your pictures. Some people think it's cool to run through the surf but I try to keep as far away from the salt water as I can.

Looks like a OBX SAS. Is there an additional lift? What was your thinking with the white lettering and steelie for the spare? I'm kind of liking it. Different look from the rear than the sides.

Love it there. Took mine down last year. Didn't make it this year. Got this shot two years ago from the beach in Kill Devil Hills.

Camping at Frisco in a few weeks. Feel free to let me know what not to miss and what to definitely miss! Things I want to do: Crabbing, take a charter for Amberjack, do some beach driving. Thanks!

Been going out to Ocracoke Island since 1997. That's my happy place on the Outer Banks. Once you take that ferry ride and cross Pamlico Sound, the whole world just melts away. Peaceful and quiet just watching the ocean roll. Was out there with the family early in August before Hurricane Erin swung close by.

. Since then, lots of questions about the viability/future of NC-12. In "nature vs. man", it's nature that gets the final word. Worst case, the ferry transit times will lengthen but it's totally worth it.

If you're into parks, there is the Wright brothers national park in kill devil hills and a lot of Hatteras is a national park. If you have a half day to kill, going to see some of the light houses (like Bodie island) is worth it. Not too far inland is Fort Raleigh which has some good hiking trails.

If you collect national park cancellation stamps, there are a bunch to be had in all those places.

If you like bird watching Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge is a nice place to stop off. Something that gets missed in Corolla is right before 12 ends and Carova Beach begins is Currituck Banks Maritime Forest Trail Head, nice trails and if you are lucky which we were you will run into some horses.

You are correct. Installed a 4in lift after purchasing it. We will putting 37’s on after the Goodyears wear out

You are correct. I put the lift on after we purchased it. I will be putting 37’s on after the Goodyears are worn out. The 37’s will be white letters out. As for the steel spare, I’ve always ran a steel spare on my jeeps as a reminder of my youth. Growing up in rural Appalachia, your spare was whatever you could find that fit and was close to the right size. I have a 5th tire and wheel, I rotate it in with the others.

We stayed in Carova Beach. We saw wild horses every day. We are nature lovers at heart and got to experience something extraordinary while we were there. We got to witness loggerhead Sea Turtles emerging and head to the ocean. NEST (Network of Endangered Sea Turtles) was overseeing the event. Great organization, definitely worth supporting.

Traveled down to NC to hang out on 4wd beach north of Corolla. Weather wasn’t the best but made for some awesome trips in and out. Shoot out to @Mountains2Metal and Havoc. We love the pull out rack and front door pocket storage. Havoc rear storage rack is awesome as well!

Do you happen to know the height from the floor to the bottom of the Havoc tray. I'd love to add one to mine but I need to clear my slide out fridge mounted on top of my ford cargo drawer.
