As a person with a masters degree in electrical engineering and over 40 years of experience I have to comment on this advertisement. According to the ad the jump box provides 4000 amps of power. Then the pics show 8 AWG wires. That size wire has a max current of 55 amps per NEC. 4000 amps would smoke that wire almost instantly. That is besides the idea that you could generate that much power in a battery that small which I also find very hard to believe. Assuming it has a LiPo battery it would probably be limited to something in the dozens of amps before overheating and damaging the battery. Just my 2 cents.
Probably nice as a power pack for charging phones and drones, etc but I wouldn't count on it to jumpstart a diesel motor in the dead of winter.

OK so I am partly correct. the 4000A is a joke but based on the test video these type jump boxes can get into the 500A range which is better than the dozens of amps I stated.

I have a similar mini-booster/power pack that I received as a gift, DB Power I believe is the brand. I was shocked that it cranked over my 5.3 LS V8 w/ power to spare.

Is it a battery based system? It looked to be a capacitor based one, which do have much larger charging/discharging rates than batteries.
I have a capacitor based one since I don’t want to worry about a battery in my jump starter. It can just charge off of a nearly dead car battery, then turn around a deliver all the power at once to jump start the car. This works because usually “dead” car batteries still have power, but are low enough they don’t have the voltage necessary to perform a start. If the car battery truly dead, you can still charge the capacitor jump starter off of usb too.

What sets this apart from the 7 pages of similar Lithium Battery jump boxes that are on Amazon right now, with prices going everywhere from "A Hell of a lot more" to "A Hell of a lot less"? Even if I limit it to "4000A", it's still over 3 pages, with prices from 1/3 to roughly equal the asking price of this.

Even looking at your specs, just going from Amazon, there are jump boxes that claim up to 18,000A , that have 64,000 mAh battery capacities, that have flashlights, and radios, and are waterproof, that have digital displays, etc. etc. - I don't see anything unique here, other than the name.

Not that I believe all those claims on Amazon, but I don't necessarily believe this one either. Just saying - what makes this one special and worth paying roughly double what average asking price for something similar is online ?

Is it made in the US? Is it officially licensed? Is it able to be permanently installed? Does it have a integrated 120VAC inverter or air compressor or any other utility features? Does it have a 10 year warranty or some other guaranties?

I welcome new products, I just don't see what sets this one apart from an already very crowded field.

I think all of those questions end up being rhetorical, but I'm willing to be open minded.

If I were to get a jump box, Noco would have been high on my list, I've had good luck with their chargers. It isn't a big priority for me right now, but I would like to be able to ditch the jumper cables and reclaim some space. That said, @strawhatguy makes a great point about the capacitor ones, and may just have convinced me to get one of those.
