the heavy gauge positive lead that comes off the circuit board, makes a bend underneath the board, and it's wrapped in shrink wrap, but there are some single strands of copper wire that were poking through the original shrink wrap, and some people have reported that it can short out against the metal frame of the compressor.. so I did my best to wrap the holy crap out of that cable with 3m electrical tape to prevent that from happening that was about itThanks for the links! I had seen that video. He doesn’t explain if the exposed wires were always exposed or if something happened to cause it like melting through the wrap He mentioned maybe it should be fused. You said you took care of the wire that causes problems. Did you just inspect it for any exposed wire and add electrical tape, or something more involved?
