Easy upgrade for those that like to see what’s going on under the bronco.

Why you ask? I like to see in real time my under lines, wheel angle, suspension load/angle, split high spots, which tire is slipping/lifted and anything falling off the truck or dragging.

Looked at a lot of kits. Settled on this wireless one. Screen and camera quality are really good. It comes with 2 cameras and is capable of supporting 4. Can we say rear trailer view?
Also supports a memory card for full hd recording. Has all the mirror flip options, supports split view.

Hook up is straight forward. They have 2 wires. Pos and neg. That’s it. Camera stream connection is wireless and damn near instant. Refresh rate is great, no blur. They have sufficient ir lights to see everything underneath at night.

I first mounted the screen above my lifter switched. Unit fits perfect in that spot. I just used 4 short screws to mount it

Then I tested and picked out 2 semi protected spots for the belly cams. Higher than the skids but can still see the wheels. I did hit 2 known spots at holly for dragging the belly. Cameras never hit, but did drag the mid skid and tank skid.

I mounted the brackets with a single self taper. That way the screw head should snap off before the camera get damaged. I used a 5/32 bit to pre drill the cross bars. Front bar you have to stay in the bottom 1” where my finger is. Above that, it’s doubled. Metal is thick but soft.

Rear cam facing forward is the same 5/32 pre drill with 1 self taper. This metal is a lot thinner. No restriction for hole location on this one.

I ran the wires through the frame on the drivers side then into the engine bay and hooked the cameras into my grill and visor backlights on a lifter.

This setup performed above my initial expectations for quality, blurring, and not getting hit. If you wheel alone like I do most the time, this is a very worthwhile upgrade. Specially adding in 2 more cameras for trailers. Can do a inside and rear. Leave them attached. When you hook up to the trailer, they will auto connect.

Interesting setup. I can see how this could be helpful for sure.

Dumb question, but won't that become useless really quickly once it's dirty? It won't take long whether it's dust or mud.

Edit: I wonder if you could attach and run a windshield washer line to that camera - Similar to the front camera?

I was worried about that also. My back up plan for that is to run the rear wiper line down under and mount a spray head by each. Seeing I’ll never use my rear wiper.

After a day out, I only had a real thin layer on the rear facing forward. Front one was still shiny, at least the lens was. Pics of the screen, though look like crap from taking them with my phone, we’re taken without cleaning the cam lenses. No mud splashed on them.
Going to put some cerama coat on them today. Down pipes first though.

Put the third camera in a 5 gallon bucket of ware. Will let it sit in there for today. Was transmitting.

Have you timed the delay? Curious how long it is. I thought about mounting a GoPro to the front since a BD couldn’t be upgraded to have a front facing camera. But the GoPro delay is about 3-5 seconds. Obviously not ideal. Curious to know if this has a shorter delay.

If you need to run power to the camera then is there a big advantage of a wireless transmitter?
Instal wise, Yes. No physical wires from the cameras to the screen. Just from the cameras to a 12v source. Quality wise, hard wired is always the best option. I have not had one of these cameras not display full signal yet.

Maybe a 1/10 of a second. Can’t even notice it when turning the front wheels.

Very nice job as always...... If I go this way, I will look at making a bracket for the cameras. I will see what I come up with and let you know.
