Hi guys. I’m new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself and my truck. Its a 2022 Ford Bronco Badlands 2.3 manual. Its the first truck I’ve ever owner. All my life, I’ve driven some kind of sports car/sporty car and as a kid, I never would have dreamed that I’d give up speed for capability, but here I am. I test drove both the auto and manual and liked the latter much more and I bought it. Super easy clutch and pretty snappy power. I found a dealer and while it was marked up, it wasn’t one of the crazy $10k-$30k markups I’d seen floating around. I’ve owned it for about 2 weeks and plan to drive from the Northeast to Colorado in a few days. I’ll be there all summer and want to do TONS of off-roading!
Mine is just a base badlands and I’d like to upgrade it. Has anyone upgraded the base stereo (as it really sucks)? Is there a way to add the B&O sound-system aftermarket? Or is there a stero upgrade kit thats made for the Bronco? Can I keep the water-resistant quality of my truck with an aftermarket sound system? I brought my car to a local shop and they looked at me like I was crazy (I told them wet kayaks and muddy mountain bikes would be put on the subwoofer they wanted to install in the trunk and I’d ford water from time to time). I had booked an install of their parts and cancelled it. Too many unanswered
Eventually, I’d like to upgrade the engine. Maybe a tune (that’s reliable), maybe an exhaust and snorkel, and heated seats for winter. I figured I could get all my answers here and share my mods and adventures! I added the WWII inspired graphic a few days ago.
My grandfather loved Ford Mustangs. He had intended to teach me about cars by working on his 68’ Fastback. He died of cancer when I was 9 years old and never got the chance. In honor of him and the bucking-bronco emblem (similar to a Mustang) I’ve named the car Newt. His name was Newton.
