I think the brakes are impressive for the height and weight of the Bronco.
The wife misses her 2013 Touareg TDi, but the amount of cash VW was giving us to make up for dieslegate was too good to pass. We basically got her Mazda for nothing. The VW was a solid like tank, very confident feeling.
I don't think anyone said they were weak... Just long, mushy pedal travel.

yeah, I don't understand that either, I'm 6'3 and can see the top of the screen just fine. There's also no clock there on mine, just outside temp. Clock is on the 12' screen.

Maybe some just like to sit with their seat all the way up? I haven't touched the up/down on my seat at all, sitting at where the factory put me, which is perfect for me.

And some say their screen with tach is tilted down? Mine has a slight up-tilt, certainly not down.

Badsquatch here, maybe it differs between trims?
Straight up gauges here too...

I really wish there was a mute button. Our JT has a mute button that also pauses whatever is playing. It's perfect for the drive thru or other cases where I just need it silent for a second. I've had vehicles with mute on the steering wheel - even better!

I can obviously find pause on the screen, too, but this is the quirks thread.

Man, I couldn't disagree more with this. I love Android Auto. Using voice activation is key, though. Have it read your messages to you. Tell it to take you somewhere. Play music. All with your voice.

You have to hold the voice activation button (rather than press and release) to activate Google Assistant, but it works great for me.
When I get a text, and I'm on the Audio page, I get no alerts on that page. Have to switch to Android page and then hit the "read aloud" button or whatever. Why can't I get an alert ANYWHERE in ANY YMMV though I guess :)
So people complaining about the dash visor over the 12" screen blocking the clock.
I moved around so this was the case for me, and the first thing I thought was, what the fuck are you doing sitting like this!? Lol
Please, PLEASE send me a pic of you sitting in your Bronco 🤷🤣
I figure they have the seat ALL the way up. Like head on the roof type high :p

Our previous vehicle was a Wrangler with the 2.0 turbo four cylinder. It was so noisy more than one person asked if it was a diesel.
I have the high pack with additional sound deadening. I couldn't imagine a lower spec truck 😮

There is a play/pause button (which mutes radio) in between the <> buttons 🤷

Does it mute the radio? If it does, I'll take it all back. I'll try it next time I'm in there.

It should be on max when it's HOT. It'll rest lower when cold
From the Bronco owner's manual:

CHECKING THE COOLANT
When the engine is cold, check the concentration and level of the coolant at the intervals listed in the scheduled maintenance information. See Scheduled Maintenance (page 452). Note: Make sure that the coolant level is between the minimum and maximum marks on the coolant reservoir. Note: Coolant expands when it is hot. The level may extend beyond the MAX mark. If the coolant level is at or below the minimum mark, add prediluted coolant immediately.

oh, I just remembered one, that I don't think has been mentioned yet...

The fact that the auto unlock is for the front doors only. In a year or 2 it won't be a problem, but right now I put my kids in the car first. So I'm opening the back door first. To get around this I've been sticking my hand in the front door handle to unlock, and then opening the rear door to let my 6yr old in. Like I said, in a year or 2 he won't need this assistance. Barely needs it now, but I still do it vs him wildly swinging the door open.

I also realize this only effects those with kids aged 0-8. So probably a small demo.
This one drives me nuts too... the other thing with the auto unlock which I don't like is the rear doors on the 4D don't have the sensor. I feel like 50% of the time I get in my car, im throwing something in the back seat and am opening that door first. My 2 previous cars with auto unlock from the fob had the sensors on all of the doors (including the trunk) and you could configure them to unlock just that door, just the drivers door or all of the doors. Seems like not putting that functionality on the rear doors was a cost cutting measure.

Overall i'm really stoked with my First Edition. All my annoyances are minor except one.

- Horn honk on exit. I have property and have 2 gates to open/close when I pull my bronco out of the shop and leave for the day. I'm sure my neighbors loved the first few days when I'd leave at 5:30 am and the Bronco was honking away. hahaha I will adjust with ForScan
- Clicking in the hardtop. I read this could be fixed with some flacking tape on the metal tabs. I'm going to try this when it comes back from being Xpel wrapped this week.
- But the biggest one. I freaking HATE where the grab handles are. They are useless getting in and out of the Bronco for me and anyone else that gets in. I bashed my knee so hard on the drivers side one that it drew blood. I think i'm going to to just remove the driver side one for now until I figure out what to do.

Other those things, which are pretty minor i've been really please with a first year brand new model truck. Power is good, Drives great, brakes are great, comfortable on longer trips. I don't regret my purchase at all.
I spent like 25 minutes digging through the settings to see if I could turn off the horn honk on exit if you have the fob in your pocket... nope. I HATE it lol. I honked multiple times early in the AM by accident while I was loading up golf clubs and stuff. It still scares the crap out of me when it happens lol. Im not used to have a vehicle honk at me when the fob exits the car.

I read that you can disable it with Forscan, I bought a USB to OBD cord. I'm going to sit down and learn it this weekend hopefully and figure it out.

Agreed. Mine is only doing it on the passenger side. I picked it up from the dealer yesterday it was getting Xpel wrapped and tinted. I'm going to put some of that flacking tape on the tabs tonight and see if that helps.
Let me know if that helps. Mine is passenger side as well

Love the Bronco. My eyes are good but driving at night I see double reflections of headlights only in the rear view mirror, not seen in the side view mirrors. Anyone else see this? Annoying.
Ummm, sounds like Ford used the same review mirror designthey used in the Ranger. Many Ranger owners get verticle colored lines in the rear view mirror at night, me included. Very strange.

One other comment and I know one guy in another thread got a whole bunch of sh&t for this so I risk my cred with this. Badlands/Squatch and new to off-road world. Excited for it and with kids now just about out of house wife and I want to use this thing for what it's built for. However, the stock tires grab rocks like crazy. The prior post I'm talking about, the guy got a load of crap about don't buy the bronco if you don't expect this, go buy an "insert luxury sedan", etc. I get all that but all we did was drive into a gravel lot and these things were jammed with rocks. Hopped on highway on way home and could here them flying off as a I cringed the whole way home. I saw mud flaps as suggested solution (or partial solution) but I guess with rock rails it's tough to find ones that fit right? Any suggested links are appreciated. And before folks start slinging crap my way....I get it. I don't want to be a soccer mom/dad driving around on 35's with a winch and you know it's never seen dirt. I just don't want chunks of paint missing two weeks after owning because I drove through a gravel parking lot (not in position yet to change tires or to wrap the thing as other solutions). If I'm losing paint I want to do it in the woods. Thanks in advance for the help.
I'm putting KO2 on vs the "good" years tomorrow, I'll let you know how they compare in the pebble flinging department.

So, Vendors with the capability if you're paying attention, folks need a redesigned rear fender flare. It will be quick to change, and shouldn't be terribly expensive. Add a slant on the front?

......Ahhhhh you're welcome......
