My wife's Jeep was ducked once in the 17 years of ownership. That duck has served a horrible life as a dog toy. Never did it go on display

For real. I can't imagine a strong stance on this either way. I'm not going to participate, but if I get bucked it's not hurting anything.

I do think there’s nuance to this though, right? Obviously there’s no damage done—to one’s feelings or property—but what would compel someone to put her hands on someone else’s property?

It’s like if a woman walks by and a guy pats her on the butt—to say she’s been damaged would be a bit harsh—but why do it in the first place? Just leave her alone. Leave people’s property alone.

All anyone is asking is to leave others’ property alone. There’s no witty analogy that’s going to make a naysayer go, “Yeah, you’re right…. Go ahead and put your hands on my stuff then.”

It’s just the impulse to NOT want to simply keep your hands to yourself. Very strange trait.

But surely anyone can understand that it’s even MORE strange to be an advocate FOR handling other people’s property? I just see no case for it.
