I had to remote mount the Apex's control box.where are you going to mount it? the awesome thread about the RC high mount and bumper mounts/frame horns has me thinking a hidden mount might be more ideal, but I don’t know if the current hidden mounts can fit the apex. It’s big
So it does work with the RC hidden mount?I had to remote mount the Apex's control box.
My front bumper is made by wolfstorm. It was either remote mount the control box or notch the grille. So it does work with the RC hidden mount?
Yes. I’ve been running it for over a year. I cut the free spool handle to fit - 1.5” socket on an extension + t-handle.So it does work with the RC hidden mount?

Could you share where you mounted the Apex control box?I had to remote mount the Apex's control box.
I also have the RC hidden winch mount, version 2 I believe with the Apex on it. Does your winch's control box not touch the AC lines?Yes. I’ve been running it for over a year. I cut the free spool handle to fit - 1.5” socket on an extension + t-handle.
They do - ever so slightly. I figured they’re made to flex a bit and the contact point is wrapped in rubber foam. I’ve checked it frequently and there doesn’t seem to be any wear or bending.I also have the RC hidden winch mount, version 2 I believe with the Apex on it. Gotcha. Did you add extra rubber foam at the contact point or is it the same as what came from factory? I'm thinking about adding extra insulation to it just in case.
