Thanks for the info! I imagine prices for materials will be a bit higher now, and mine is still at least 4-5 years down the road, but good to know.I actually ordered the building right at the begining of the Covid crap. I have about 55k total into it with the slab, building, electric and garage doors/openers. The eves and wainscotting on the building were extra and my county "requires" stamped engineered plans even for a metal building like this and those were another 5k on top of the cost of the building. I did alot of work myself with my 20 year old son helping. But also hired a buddy who is a contractor to help with the dirt work and erection of the building.
Slab 14,000 Building 20,000 Garage Doors 5,000 Openers 2,500 Electric 2,500 Labor 7,500 Dirtwork 3,000 54,500
That is awesome! After I finish all my other house projects I want to build a car port on one side of my metal building too. Would be perfect to keep the 5th wheel and car hauler out of the sun. Thanks for the info! Here’s what I have so far….
Know the dimensions off the top of your head?Still a work in progress, but it has come a long way!
My favorite part is having a wall mounted car wash setup with a pressure washer mounted on a stainless steel shelf, and 75' of thick no-kink hose on a nice Cox reel. Just hit the power button and go! Makes cleanup after camping or off-roading breeze.
Damn Packer's fans are everywhere lol. Just kidding, they are certainly the least offensive of the nationwide football fanbases (i.e. Cowboys, Steelers & Patriots). Love the Pabst neon and the throwback style on your Bronco!Turned my garage into a mancave a few years back. It's now the neighborhood hangout in the evening.
Sir, you are a connoisseur of all things topless and rwd!No room in my garage for the Bronco because I have a few other toys.
This will be my workshop, for general maintenance, welding, etc. For resale value, I’ve sized it to where a future owner would be able to park an RV inside. I’ll use the lean-to for things like car washing and spray painting, and other stuff that you need shade for, but you don’t want it inside. We’ll have a standard garage for the vehicles. A lot of things have to go right for this to happen, but we’re working on it…That is awesome! Did you build your very own Carvana?? I really like the floor and the super high ceilings!Would look better with my Bronco in there! It was built on 4/12/23 but still waiting at the factory. Have a spot in front of the Maverick ready to go!
That would be nice! Thanks! Only reason I bought the house was for the high ceiling and large garage.Did you build your very own Carvana?? I really like the floor and the super high ceilings!
I simply cannot think of a better reason to buy a house! That would be nice! Thanks! Only reason I bought the house was for the high ceiling and large garage.
Thanks brother. I served in the Air Force for 20 years...retired and then came back to work as a federal employee at the Air Force Academy for another 16 years...and just retired from that job. Now enjoying life to the fullest!Damn Packer's fans are everywhere lol. Just kidding, they are certainly the least offensive of the nationwide football fanbases (i.e. Cowboys, Steelers & Patriots). I'm not sure who the Air Force flags are for but please pass along my sincere gratitude for their service!
Great garage and thank you for sharing!
Being from Kentucky, I gotta thing for over-the-top horse barns. Let's see where all these beautiful Bronco's are spending their down time! Full disclosure, I'm starting a garage renovation and I'm looking for some ideas to incorporate into my design. Wall mounted door hangers, Hoist for the hard top sections, travel destination maps, etc..
Post'em if you got'em
