I don’t know, if you use the door handle to unlock the door and open it too fast, it’s definitely hitting the mirror before it could fully fold out. Seems like it could be a problem

I got the pictures from a Korean aftermarket company's website. Such modification is very popular there due to their tight parking spaces. This particular company charges approximately $900 USD for the entire job, including parts and labor.
I wanted to share that it's feasible and express my hope that companies like @Mabett or @IAG Performance will develop a plug-and-play option for us.

Yeah they add a button to fold both mirrors from inside and it even has the auto-tilting side mirror function when you put in reverse.

Those are factory side mirrors, they just add the motors and wiring harness to them so they’ll have whatever they come with depending on the trim

LOVE the idea, and I just might spring the $900for them.
I had them on a Sienna XLE AWD/Ltd--the highest trim line. "If Toyota Motor Company put the Lexus marque on a minivan," I said, "This would be it." I park on the street in a student neighborhood, and back in 2010, there was a very disturbing fad of student (boys) kicking (and knocking off) car mirrors. So that was well worth the investment.

But repair was very expensive, which also factored into trading the Sienna in and buying the Bronco. I haven't seen that kind of senseless (and probably alcohol-related) vandalism lately, but "better safe than sorry," as they say.

I like they can be operated by a button by the driver, for those New England trails with close-in trees.

After logging in Montana I am still surprised I didn’t scrap my beast. Taking a mirror out because I missed a tree is not out of the question.

I’ve thought about this before and could use it. I back in and get my mirror close to garage opening to leave maximum space in my garage. Just need passenger side.
