I went with the low profile ones. I think they should work. I'm ok with drilling.
I actually originally had the low profile, but trailrax told me I’d need the 270 bracket for that awning, and a pair of the 90 degree brackets. Ended up sending the low profile awnings back.

Does anyone know of a 270 awning that is ~48" long? I'd like one that doesn't run the entire length of the roof, just the back part of the hardtop.

I checked the usual subjects, but there seems to be new makers of these things popping up constantly.

Correct. Low profile and 90 degree are two different mounts. When I spoke with support they said to get the 270 mount as well to better handle the weight, especially for the 2 door.
Did they say not to use the low profile mounts?

They did tell me the low profile would not work. They allowed me to return them and just pay the cost of shipping. Ordered the 90 degree brackets. You can email support or they have a live chat feature to make sure.

Is there any awnings that have a part that drops down on the outside to blow the sun once it goes lower? Like a roll down part, hard to describe.

Walls. Yeah plenty of companies make them. OVS has an add on for walls. I think it’s an extra $200. Just wish they had some kind of small window.

Just a follow up. After many trials and tribulations I was able to make it all fit. RTT is the Inspired Overland Carbon Fiber, and the awning is the OVS 270 LT.
