@SierraBronco thanks for chiming in. I knew you would tell it straight. Good idea with the air down and apex open valve “trick”!

@Num Num I haven’t had issues with cleaning but haven’t really put much thought into it. There is a seal that helps protect the door so if you are a clean freak you may find that frustrating. I will say if anyone installs you should attach your license plate first as the space behind is pretty tight.

And that is the BOK Center in Tulsa. Lots of interesting aspects on that project. Somewhere I have a photo of me standing on that cantilevered deck.

@kingcon99 I forgot about the pics last night. Didn’t leave the office until around 20:30 as we are in the middle of a large design build pursuit. Got some this morning. Hope this helps.

FYI, we had some crazy ass high speed winds yesterday & last night and some dirty rain as you can see in the pics.

Thank you very much for the pics. I was going to guess the BOK. We have been by there quite a few times. We live just south of Norman. We haven't been inside but have heard it is pretty nice. I am narrowing down my choices for the rear bumper, and bracket but have to get it approved by the CFO!!

You’re welcome. Good luck. TOR offers a great bang for the buck IMO. I think there is a forum code good for 10% savings and sometimes you will catch a 20%+ off special sale making it an even better value.

I’ve lived in both the Tulsa & OKC areas so familiar with Norman as well. Done my fair share of shutting down I-35 to demo & replace bridges & roadway, lol.

When we were building the BOK we actually toured the OKC arena. While on the catwalk they have a massive HVAC trunk line about 7-8’ in diameter. The catwalk steps down but they had to notch the HVAC line for head clearance. Still had to duck to get under it. Small things you remember — don’t do this on the new arena, lol. If you get a chance to visit the BOK it’s pretty nice. The design is pretty unique to most Tulsa & OKC architecture styles.

Although it was just announced Flintco joint ventured with Mortensen to build a new $1 billion Paycom Center with anticipated completion around June 2028. The BOK was $196m back in 2008. So I’m sure the new Paycom will be a treat to visit as well.

I saw that, we have to have new about every 10 years or so, especially if the thunder keeps doing well.

Has anyone installed this bumper with a body lift? Were there any modifications you needed to make to get the heim joints to work? I have a 0.75” body lift.

It looks like @Turn Offroad took this off their website. I wonder if there were more issues that needed to be worked out or if they are out of stock, but I couldn’t find it.

Oh wow, just checked and you're totally right. Entire product page disappeared.

@Turn Offroad @TURN Todd any updates surrounding this?

Will not work with a body lift. It would need heavy modifications to make it work.

Yes, it is off of the website for now. We sold out must faster than we anticipated. The back order is at least 12-16 weeks right now, so we didn't want people to order them and have to refund them or make them wait. Once the wait is under 4 weeks, they will be back on the website.

In case anyone with a body lift wants to install this, it is possible. Just needed to use some spacers on the heim joints

Any rattling over bumpy roads or carrier bounce when closing the tailgate?

I can’t honestly answer yet because I had to replace the lower tailgate bump stops. Still waiting on them to come in. But right now without them there is a little bounce

I’ve had this bumper on for about a month now and I gotta be honest… it’s not very good. The thing shakes massively even on the freeway. I even bought extended bump stops to try and have there be more contact when the gate is closed to stop the rattling and it’s helped, but still shakes.

I do like the actual tire carrier portion that holds the spare, but the spindle and thin metal that it’s welded to are not strong enough. And the double heim joints just don’t seem to travel along the same paths so either one is too tight at some point. I’ve spent maybe 12 hours total making adjustments and have it functional, but it feels like it’s gonna break at some point on some washboard roads.

I had the expedition one before this so can directly compare and their design is miles ahead of turns.

Sadly, I concur. I love the looks and the intent of the design, but it's not executed very well. Mine rattles like a biotch on anything but a smooth paved road. I really wanted to like it. In reality, I will tolerate it until I can figure out how to fix the shake/rattle/roll - or - I'll replace it with something proven.
