That is a great system you built. I will need to lift mine off for permanent storage once I get the Ursa Minor camper. I may use something like your lift but will need some type of shelf or rails placed under it for long term storage.

Do you have any idea what the weight of the larger rear section is?

It's unfortunately a typical suburban home with a finished garage, might be 10-12' at most. With the Bronco lifted and trying to get the top off it is a little of a chore. Good news is I plan on leaving it off for quite a while since it's now a garage queen but nerve racking hanging over my wife's Lexus.

Man are you in Esperanza?, yeah it is scary having that top dangle like that. it took several weeks for me to get used to it. You probably have 8- 9' ceilings looking at the picture, nice ceiling fan never thought to add one to the garage.
You might be able to add some wall mounts to hold your doors not sure how much space you have in your garage, or just a PVC rack to store the doors in. I stored the middle section of the top in our spare room once but the a$$hole cat got in there and ate some of the weather stripping. now everything is just stored in the garage.

I'm sorry, I'm not sure. I'd estimate that it's about 75 lbs.

Man, just noticed you were in the area too! No we are across in Ranches at Creekside, I am the Service Director at Ford of Boerne.

There was a hoist I saw after my wife got me this one (Christmas 2023 lol) that you could store the roof panels on that I wish I would have done. Now my roof panels are in my office at home and doors are in the 4th BR. Garage is tight unfortunately...don't make them big like they once did!

Nice, Got mine at Ford of Boerne. We are next to Guadalupe River State Park. We are the Desert Sand Everglades that you might have seen at FOB getting service.
I have seen people just stack the rest of the roof panels on top of the top using moving blankets to keep from scratching and hoist the whole thing up. I will have to redo my rigging to do this but this was a quick storage solution since we have had decent weather the past few months, since I work from home now its been a bit of a garage queen so it has been nice to leave it top off for awhile.

I was thinking of stacking my panels but don't trust the set up yet.

Stop in anytime man, I am usually always here in the corner office. If anyone gives you chit let me know so I can "correct" them.

Mine is a super garage queen, drive a maroon 2024 Trailboss for my daily. Mine doesn't even come out unless it is guaranteed no rain.

Did you buy it pre-owned by chance? Looks like our old GM's Everglades that he only had a short time.

Either way good to meet you, holler if I can help!

Nope I ordered mine. I thought I was the first DS Everglades in the area then I saw your GMs Everglades. He got his a few weeks before we got ours.

If you are worried about the dangling top (like I was - more so the added stress on it hanging from the roof rack slots given all the historical problems with the MIC tops) I added a floating shelf using unistrut, threaded rod and some aluminum 1x2.

As Red Green always said “if the women don’t find you handsome at least they’ll find you handy.” I screenshotted the your top panel racks. It’s a perfect solution. Well done on both!
