We are welding up more long-travel lower arms for your broncos! This kit widens your track width 2" per side, as well as added wheel travel and strength. The ultimate upgrade whether you are exploring MOAB or wide open in Baja.

I'd like more information on these than what your site has. I am shooting for a small amount of height, this width and as much droop as the CV can survive in southeastern terrain. I need to know what axles you guys suggest (just custom?) and bump stop.

These seem to bolt into the oem hard points for both LCA and UCA. Also it seems they have not altered the shock mounting location on LCA.

in order to reuse oem knuckle and maintain oem kingpin axis, then both the UCA and LCA lengths increase by 2 inches. Assuming this was done to provide an easy bolt on solution with typical aftermarket coilovers.

then the CV angles will be identical to stock. Since LCA and UCA angles won’t change. The only difference will be increased wheel travel due to motion ratio increase. Stock average MR is about 1.6 with just under 10” of wheel travel. This setup will be about 1.8 average MR with almost 12” of wheel travel.

Actual variations are shown in plots. First plot is for both oem and camburg long arm. All angles remain the same. Second plot shows oem MR and third plot shows Camburg 2” long arm MR. plots were determined using oem SAS bilstein coilovers and will vary with different coilovers.

Things that change compared to OEM.

1) wheel travel increases by about (1.8/1.6)=1.125

2) shock forces increase by about (1.8/1.6)=1.125

3) wheel spring rate decreases by about (1.6/1.8)^2=0.79

4) fundamental frequency decreases by about (1.6/1.8)=0.889

Probably want to get coilovers with an increased spring rate of near 12% to maintain stock shock motions under equivalent loading.

Hopefully camburg can provide more details on their setup. Seems like a very nice plug and play solution with minimal IFS geometry concerns.

I admit these pics of these things being built by hand make me want to go get them

And then someone like @87-Z28 has to go at it all Science class - and that makes it all the better

They do look nice, but wider is not something I wish to be 🤠

Going 40's need the stability to keep doing what I do. and a little more articulation.

this is probably a good simple solution for you. With the increased wheel travel and 40s you are gonna need to deal with fenders probably (interference during jounce). Also wanna get the spring rate right and maybe shock valving from increased unsprung weight and decreased frequency response. Curious what camburg suggests. Maybe typical aftermarket coilovers with increased spring rates is good enough. Probably not good to keep oem coilovers.

I know exactly what you are saying. I have a 21 Badlands that I have been SLOWLY modifying. 6100's when my reservoir fell off, 285/75 (34") Toyos on stock optional Badlands wheels when the KO2's were done (no poke). Just came off some nasty fun trails in CO that I would not want to be any wider than stock on. Same here in the East. But options are good.

I think long travel kits are awesome for the dozens of people who will buy them, I just wish someone would make a decent two door soft top for the thousands of us who will buy them.
Have a Bestop Sunrider(?) that opens up over the 2 front seats. Not what you're looking for, but pretty sweet. Check it out?

Yeah, long travel kit isn't really on my radar for that reason, and what I tend to run doesn't really need it. But it still looks pretty, and I admit, it keeps Camburg on my mind when I'm looking at other stuff I may want in the future. It's pricey - but will probably out last me.

I was wondering the same...will this setup require longer axles?
