i would agree our JK alpine system was terrible but if our new JL alpine is far superior in tone, clarity and fullness to the bronco
We had the exact opposite with our JK 2018 Rubicon Alpine system, it was perfect sounding. Tons of bass with that in floor Alpine subwoofer.
Then our new JL 2022 Rubicon Alpine system was absolutely garbage compared to the 2018 system.

not to be annoying but the 2018 was a JL I believe not a JK, but to me, sound in a car is pretty important, for now my B&O in my bandlands with lossless audio files will have to do…

B&O is all over the map with different car manufacturers. The Brono application is just OK. For many owners, it will be fine. As a bar to measure by, the B&O system in my 2018 Audi puts the Ford application of B&O to shame. Also have a friend with an F150 with the B&O and it's also average for my taste. As many have said, reasonable expectations need to be applied to the Bronco as it has the acoustic stage of a GE refrigerator.....

Actually in 2018 you had both. Jeep released the JL mid year. So, for part of the year you will find 2018 JK's and 2018 JL's. I know this because my son has a 2018 JK.

So, one is a 2018, the other is a 2018.5

Isn't that an insult to a GE Refrigerator. I think it has more insulation :cwl:

Just to add my 2 cents... I think that if B&O didn't opt for the A2B interface, they could've saved a bunch of money in R&D and actually put more into speaker materials and amp power. Such a shame. Hence why I'm ripping out every single B&O speaker and replacing them with my own speakers and amps.

I don’t understand why someone would spend money on upgrading speakers in something as acoustically challenged as a Bronco.

Just buy and Acura MDX Type S and enjoy the best factory sound system you can get. Supposedly the Volvo XC 90 B&W system is great too.

I need you to understand that those vehicles you just listed are not fit for off-road use. Lol. That's why we bother with the bronco. Most of the time I listen at full volume with the windows down and top off on the highway and it's just not loud enough, and plus the factory speakers were clipping quite a bit at full volume. Plus I already had all the speakers and wiring from my last vehicle, so my I've only had to spend money on the A2B decoder to integrate all the stuff I already had.
Everyone has their reasons. I'm not looking to have a super luxurious vehicle, I just wanna have loud and crisp audio in my convertible brick. 😂

Just because it is acoustically challenged (you are right, it is) does not mean you can not dramatically improve the quality of the sound.... Your comment suggests you do not see the value in doing that... fair. But for some of us we definitely see (and hear) the value.

Just changing out the four corners and center speaker was a game changer for me especially in surround mode that didn't sound right to me with the stock speakers. It's so good that I have no desire to make any further upgrades as it's totally fine for what I expect in a vehicle like this.

Yeah I think I would rather spend $300 on upgraded speakers than $$$$ on an overpriced Honda or Chinese made Volvo thanks.

I went a bit overboard.... I went with the Morel/M0bridge complete system, DSP, Amp and all the speakers.... It is day and night different from what it was. Way too expensive, but I am enjoying the change.
