Turbosmart Blow Off Valve Review:

TLDR; it sounds good, doesn’t add performance, and will fail eventually.

“It makes a pshhh should does it really need a review…?
Ugg...did not know these could go bad. I just transferred mine to the BRaptor. I also have charge pipes coming on Thursday.....I wonder if I should just switch back to the stock one now. I also read there was issues making it fit with the AFE charge pipes on the RAptor forums.

Yeah, I guess I need to put the stock one back in, or try one of those adapters...

I’d keep it on while it lasts. If you get a check engine light with that code now you know what it is! Then it’s an easy swap.

I need to see what happens with the AFE charge pipes. According to a user in the Bronco Raptor forum, they said they had to cut a washer as a shim to make the turbosmart fit onto the pipe. So when they show, that will be the first thing I look at.

Nothing a little rubber padding can’t fix 🤣 that’s what I ended up doing

SVC Billet Components Review:

TLDR; Adds durability. Tie rods tightened up steering and links tightened up the rear suspension. Aesthetically very appealing, but will only pay off performance wise for people who really plan to “push it” in their broncos.

I’ve always been a big fan of SVC products and their builds so when I saw them start making components for the bronco I eagerly jumped in. As the first adopter of all their products I was able to make a special request for raw aluminum color to match my wheels which they now offer as an option!

Tie Rods: this was the most noticeable change right away. There’s a lot of “slop” I didn’t notice in the OEM tie rods until I swapped them over. It makes the steering immediately seem a little more responsive. In the case of full tie rods vs half tie rods, personally I am a fan of half tie rods. In the case of a failure I’d rather the tie rod break than the knuckle. I still carry my OEM ones with me in case but have heard very little issues of people breaking tie rods on the Braptor.

Upper Control Arms: upgraded when I got my Hyperco lift, these helped maintain a controlled suspension geometry. These are harder to tell an immediate difference while driving, but the added durability it adds pays off in the long run. The only issue I had is if you look at the OEM/ Foutz UCA they have a “dip” in them to clear the body. Without that dip you need to trim a little of the unnecessary aluminum above the UCA so it can clear when fully compressed. If you don’t, it will certainly self trim…

Rear Links/ Panhard Bar: Drivng around town this may be harder to notice the difference. Once you hit a series of whoops or some bigger drops, it becomes more apparent how these help. They all
Work in combination to tighten up the rear end and “grab” the terrain below it. I can’t say I noticed much until I went back out on the trail, and could immediately feel the reduction in body sway and suspension benifits.

Overall great products that look as good as they perform. Other than the tie rods I wouldn’t expect to see a gain from daily driving (aside from the appealing look). If you plan to really push your bronco, I’d highly reccomend SVC!

Beautiful SVC stuff @TheLawnDart . I'm surprised you could really feel both the tie rods and rear links. The ABS skids on the rear lowers are a very nice touch. Mine are certainly scraped up a bit. Great high speed pic as well!

General Tire and Raceline Wheel Review:

I’ve lumped these reviews into one since both of these mods are incredibly subjective and I have limited objective data to provide on them.

General Tire Grabber X3: for an MT tire I have very little negative feedback to give and overall really like them. I’ve seen great traction in mud, dirt, and snow. They have held up remarkably well over ~30k miles off-road, “chunking” way less than my K02s did and surviving some pretty brutal hits. They come in at around 77lbs which is a pretty good weight for an MT. They ride well on the road for an MT and while they obviously have more wind noise than K02s, I don’t find it too extreme. Before they rubbed off while crawling, I really liked the red general letters on the side wall as well.

As for the negatives: in rain they are a little slick. As in I get break the back end loose from a stop every time I want to, but I’ve never lost traction unintentionally. I’ve gone through 3 tires (2 for nails and 1 for a tree branch through the side wall), none of which I blame the tires for. The biggest issue I’ve had is availability. They are extremely hard to replace when needed and it causes a big bottleneck. I’ve had unusable spares on my Bronco for months at a time because of it. Additionally they only go up to 37”, so if you’re looking for a bigger tire you won’t find it through General.

Again I think tires are very subjective depending on what terrain you drive on, how hard you drive, what you consider comfortable, and how often you’re off-road.

Raceline Avenger 2.0: I got 17” 0mm offset (which protrudes about 1.3” from the fenders). I love the machined look since it matches the style I was after. One of the best parts is they clean off incredibly easy, usually with just high pressure water and that’s it. There’s not too many spokes to clean between which I like as well. It’s slightly annoying that water pools up in the edge of the wheel, but again it’s very easy to clean. The scratches on the wheel are also very well hidden and hardly show up.
