Hi All, I'm about to place a factory order for a '26 4-dr Badlands and only one detail of the build remains undecided:

What painted roof color goes best with VB?

Aside from completing the survey, please feel free to comment on why that chosen color.

Thanks!

I'd say black or color-matched with black rims, flares, trim, etc.
If you did a black body, I think the desert sand roof looks pretty cool too

I concur that a black Bronco with a tan roof would look fabulous but
a) my F-150 is black so I want some variety from that in my Bronco; and
b) inexplicably, you can't order a black Bronco with a Desert Sand roof or any other painted roof color besides black, I believe, for that matter. As Henry Ford once said, "you can have any color you want...", well, you know the rest.

IMHO, possibilities are:
Black - contrast
MIC - which matches the flares
Carbonized Grey (maybe)- to match the flares
Velocity Blue - matches body

I'd vote MIC or Carb Gray. I like the look.
Bonus - Both colors match my Titanium Method wheels very well.

Not available, but something that might work aftermarket...
Wimbledon White.

The Oxford White is and always has been too bright, too white to be an accent color. Tone that white down towards a lighter cream color and all of a sudden it starts working very nicely with many colors.
Saw this near Charlotte NC a few years back.
It was stunning. Got to chat up the owner for a few seconds on our way out.
For contrast reference, look at the white car next to it.

Gratuitous AMB/MIC/Methods flex pic, lol.

Right on. I'd color match it then and get the VB roof. I think it's a great look.

I have a MIC top on my VB Wildtrak and as soon as the warranty expires in going to line-x it black. I have some minor cracks in it but there is a 0% chance I'm going to have Ford replace it unless it starts disintegrating. There are guys here who are on their 3rd and 4th MIC top because the replacements are even worse than the originals. No thannd

I would agree with what most people have said of doing either black for contrast or paint match VB top.

Or if you want your bronco to stand out from the traditional broncos then maybe do Marsh gray, and compliment the top with some matching wheels and accents. If you got the lux package on your build then your interior accents will match the marsh gray top.

I'd go with the color-matched Velocity Blue roof - looks clean and cohesive, plus you won't have to worry about it looking dated in a few years like some of the contrasting colors might.

That's interesting Smiling, thanks; I have a close friend who is an interior designer and she also said VB for cohesiveness. She couldn't imagine the roof being anything but matching. The ironic thing is when I go to her place that, between the art & furnishings, there is every color under the rainbow in use! I pointed that out to her and she said vehicles are not the same... they should be monotone and the "low risk" colors: black, grey or white.

I vote Velocity Blue top also.
Black would look nice, but then you need something else to match that dark black like black wheels.
Carbon black is closer to matching the plastic trim color but will be glossy instead of the matte plastic. The badlands wheels have glossy carbon black color but don’t know if thats enough to tie it together without seeing it IRL. The colors in those computer renderings are always “off”.

BTW, what does your designer friend think of the Stroppe Edition?

I would like to see a '26 in real life because on the Ford B&P site, the standard wheels look very dull compared to what's on 2025s.

No surprise but she doesn't like the Stroppe scheme. TBH, she isn't even much a fan of VB either. She was impressed with a green on green '25 that I showed her, but of course EG has sadly disappeared from the 26 MY. If she was ordering a 2026, she made it abundantly clear it would be CG all the way. I told her that the very first Bronco I looked at was back in 2023, a CG 4-dr with a MIC top - and that it indeed looked very classy. Problem is, I live in a part of the world that is overcast most of the winter and I don't need any more reminders of grey, lol. I could handle the roof being that color but prefer a less sombre color for the rest of the vehicle.

The Stroppe is one of the ugliest paint jobs I've ever seen on a vehicle.. I feel like I'm on an episode of Punked or Candid Camera whenever someone says how good one of them looks. I'm just waiting for the "gotcha" moment to happen.

Then again, this is a forum full of men who don't like hot brazilian women or fit milfs either. I guess I'm not surprised by people's tastes here anymore.

All the ammo I need to urge you to NOT listen to a damn thing she says. LOL!
To be fair, she isn't 100% wrong. Color-matched/monotone looks good. Black, white and gray roofs look good too. I'm a huge fan of a black roof on just about any vehicle, regardless of color.
Some random colored roof on a blue car definitely wouldn't look good.

Ha ha, I'm not and she knows that. In fact, when I asked for her opinion she laughed and jokingly said, "why would you ask me since you're not going to take my advice anyway?" But then she went on to add that she is more than happy to give advice because, as her and I both light-heartedly know, it is in her nature to push her opinions. Of all the 6G Bronco model years, 2026 has the most run-of-the-mill palettes. Your Bronco, in AMB, is an absolutely beautiful color. I don't understand why Ford killed it off so quickly.
