I'm afraid I'm getting the same clicking sound at startup... FML. Just hit 69K miles and it's been clicking for about a week now. Trying to get a video uploaded to see what you all think on here.
I have an after market exhaust so it's a bit harder to hear, but I'm almost positive it's identical to the clicking sound in your video :crying:

Nah, that sounds like a big exhaust leak. Not cam phasers

Easiest way to check for exhaust leaks is (1) bottle of soapy solution, or (2) candle/lighter (flame).

I've looked up and down the exhaust and there's nothing wrong with it. Plus I meant to say it was a muffler back after market exhaust. The rest is stock/never touched. It's the "clicking" sound that's the newest sound I've been hearing.

I'll give the soap a try later tonight, but like I said to the other guy.... I haven't seen anything on the exhaust at all. The "clicking" is the newest sound. Also the clicking goes away after a minute or two/warms up. Wouldn't the sound stick around if it was an exhaust leak?

Yes, but exhaust leaks can disappear too, as they heat-up. I'd rule it out first, then go to dealer & have them assess.

Phaser rattle only lasts for 3-5 seconds in 99.9% of cases. So if the sound you're hearing is lasting a few minutes, that would also lead me to believe it's something else.

Appreciate yours and Icemans input. I'm really hoping it is something else 🤞🤞🤞... Keep your fingers crossed for me. I very much rather it be exhaust related.
