Sorry if this has been asked and answered, but do the rear seats fold down or fold flat. I am doing the Black Diamond/SAS 4 door package, and our dogs will passengers much more frequently than people. They are less annoying and always happy to go along.

They don't fold completely flat, and there is a step-up of a few inches from the rear cargo area to the seat backs. The late-availability slide-out tailgate will eliminate the step-up.

Looks nice but still wish it was offered in the lighter version that we were teased with in the beginning. THAT was sharp! Plus the dark vinyl will be a butt burner with the top off. Lol

Why do the "lower" trims have the best interiors?

Lower trims? After the B&P update the BD and OBX are the higher trims when they have Squatch added. WT is now the cheaper, lol.

Actually, if you choose that interior (BD), you would get an even better exterior as the BD comes with a steel rear bumper and not that squared off looking plastic thing.

For those getting MGV, you've been warned of it staining. If you have oily hair, don't lean your head against the headrest.

I wonder if the carpet is for fold down and gear on top of these. I would be concerned about sharp items tearing the MGV, carpet is much tougher. Might not be the reason, but a thought I had.

We’re not looking for the seat backs to be made from MGV. We want it to be made from the rubberized floor material, similar to the Bronco Sport.

Maybe the OP likes cloth seats so they can just soak up his oily head grease ?
