That is a good looking combo. Glad I went with these colors.

Top is looking quite shiny. I think I’m liking the new darker MIC top.

It's supposedly fade-resistantI would think you'd need to apply something to it or you'll end up with a Chevy Avalanche.
My thoughts exactly. Engines in Cali were the same.Hey, if it's good enough for CFD...

They have. Its called the MIC.Looks weird against the lighter plastic flares.
Sorry but It has always looked like the majority of Bronco reservation holders were/are going to be '22s.I fully intend to take my mod topped Bronco off the beaten path. Personally, I hate the matte appearance of the MIC top. I've never been a fan of any SUV with a removable cap where the color doesn't match the body. Doesn't matter if we're talking about a Jeep, Bronco, Blazer or Scout. Don't like white tops, black tops or any shade in between unless they're on a like colored truck. Always thought they looked unfinished and cheap. Like an afterthought. "Ope. We lopped the top off gotta throw something back on there, I suppose." I would have accepted a black mod top to get a '21 knowing I'd have to do some paint work to get it the way I wanted it long term. But it now looks like the majority of us are going to be '22s and body color will be an option again finally.
this is my concern, white MIC IMO is a no brainer but shiny white paint...ehSo..... Will they make a WHITE MIC?
or - will the white be painted....
SO many people dream of the white, if its glossy, most will pass I'm afraid
You sound like the guy that leaves the plastic wrap on the new couch because sitting on the seats could get them dirty. My wife says there is definitely something wrong with me, because of my OCD for fine details. Am I the only one that thinks those removable rear side windows are a possible cause for water leaks after you first break the factory seal? Or, will they be OK? Damn OCD.![]()
I don’t know anything about Jeep tops but I don’t believe that is true. I know for a fact your wrong about the Bronco tops, the MIC has an outer shell that is thinner than you would imagine. A scuff will definitely show up with a lighter appearance even though you haven't scratched through the entire outer shell. Its due to physically damaging the bond of the polymer, kind of like bending a plastic part and it discolors at the bend. Some plastics are more forgiving than others, but the mic top will definitely show scuff marks. That’s a Jeep top In that pic and the Jeep top is black on the outside and white underneath so it shows scuffs/scratches more. the Bronco MIC top is same color throughout so should be a slight advantage to showing scratches. Plus, the MIC top isn’t glossy so it won’t show car wash swirl marks or trail pinstripping marks which the Black modtop does have a clear coat so the statement is true that MIC will show less than the black mod top.
Need to see itThis would go really well with AMB. Sunny day would be stunning.
the inner layer of the Bronco mic top is grey too, maybe a slightly different shade of grey than the outside but the inner layer Of the Bronco mic top is not white whereas the Jeep top is mic white painted black in outside - as I’ve owned 2 of them, therefore the Bronco mic top is different than the Jeep. Also, no one is saying the mic won’t show scuff marks, just that it will show them less than the painted mod top.I don’t know anything about Jeep tops but I don’t believe that is true. He's right. Jeep tops are molded in white and painted black on the outside.I don’t know anything about Jeep tops but I don’t believe that is true. If they really wanted the inside white, you'd think they'd mold it black and paint the inside white. Seems like that'd be a better solution to avoid the white coming through with scratches. He's right. Jeep tops are molded in white and painted black on the outside.
