Ordered a Wildtrak. My expectations are 17 mpg average. I figure with mixed driving and a heavy foot that should be possible.

Best to keep my expectations low so if it actually hits 20 I can be pleasantly surprised.

My last toy got 10-12. Anything higher than that is a bonus. If I was looking for MPGā€™s, Iā€™m thinking the Bronco with 4.7 gears wouldnā€™t be my first choice. The Lightning had 4.10ā€™s and at best got 15 going downhill with a tailwind. The Bronco isnā€™t anymore streamline than that brick was. But boy, could that brick get up and go!

99-04 Lightning? I think Ford has missed an opportunity to bring back a similar vehicle. With the massive power numbers they have reached with the eco boost they could make something that really performs. I always liked those trucks.

First Generation 1995. She was a beast. Yet only 240 hp. My Dad had a 99 with 455 hp but he always liked mine better. Look.....only two doors too! Same for the next toy!

We all need to remember, the Bronco is about smiles per gallon, not miles per gallon.

I have a short commute to work (~8 miles one way), but it takes 20 minutes because of idiots and traffic lights. I like to step on it when I can, not the type to screw around at intersections. I'm often through the intersection before the other people wake up and start to crawl, lol. That said, if I can get 15 average during the work week, I'll be happy. That would be better than what my current toys get. 20+ hwy. would be sweet.

My '12 Mustang gets anywhere from 25-28 (3.7l)

So factoring in for the added weight and boxy shape of the Bronco, I'm gonna go with I'll be happy with 25-28 for the 2.7 šŸ˜

Never happen in a million years, I'm more or less hoping for 20-22 but figuring 16-18 with the Squatch package.. Which isn't much better than my old FSB's that got right around 13-15 running 35's with a big old V8 (and 4 spd) ! But that's OK cuz we know how people here like to bash the V8 šŸ˜ž

I got 20ish in my 2.7 F150, about 70% highway miles. I'm thinking 18 or 19 in my WT and I'll be happy with that.

I get 9-10 in my v10 f250. Anything over that would be nice

My V6 Ford edge gets about 20 to 23 combined. But thatā€™s mostly because of city driving. On the highway using cruise control I can get 27 to the gallon. Itā€™s really driving around the tight city streets of northern Jersey where I pay the price. So if I use eco-mode I think I can probably do the same with the 2.7 in the bronco. Or at least use Eco mode in the city and then turn it off for when Iā€™m having fun.

Many of you really really need to look up the EPA rating of the Ranger Tremor.

I'll save a little time, its 19.

19 highway 19 city.

If you think a boxier shaped, bigger engine, bigger tires, heavier vehicle like anything with a 2.7 and SAS is going to do better, I would sincerely like to know how.

The Ranger Tremor was the biggest bubble burst for me; I was really hoping to see 20+ on the highway. Now I know there's not a chance even with a non-sas Badlands 2.7.

I've learned to make peace with that.

I'd be ecstatic with anything over 20 highway. I put 97k miles on my Jeep in the last 3 years and will do the same with this Bronco. Gas mileage really isn't a concern though.

My 2011 F-150 with a 5.0 V8 is getting around 16 mpg in town, last time I went to Sturgis from San Diego in 2014 pulling a 2 bike trailer believe it or not I was getting around 22 mpg, I'll be smiling at whatever MPGs I get in my New Bronco šŸ˜€
Same combo - and getting 17 combined driving in Florida.
