Are there any Granger customers out there getting First Editions or Wildtracks that plan to purchase different wheels? If so, I’ll offer to buy your old wheels. I’m pretty sure granger would do the install for us. Thanks

We don't have any of our initial orders that I know of anyways that are swapping out wheels. We have yet to have any ship. All our still showing "in production" as of this morning. I'm showing 5 total that way.

@Zach@Granger I’m scheduled for July 20th build and plan to swap out my badlands wheels. If no FE or WT wheels are available I’ll go aftermarket. I’ve already spoken to Jay about it. I just wanted to put feelers out for the FE or WT wheels before I pull the trigger.

i would how ever i opted for 22 MY and im going to jump up to 37's.. but might wait a year or so to see all the nice aftermarket ways, really hopping someone comes out with a high fender kit so i dont have to lift it to gain up travel.
StedeBonnett
StedeBonnett
I'll jump in - I opted for a 22 MY OBX two-door and I also don't want to leave with the stock OBX wheels. Not too concerned - it looks like aftermarket is going to have some sweet options as well as a swap option. I love the Wildtrack look but the SAS would be wasted on me.

This is killing me. Any official word for those of us stuck in “preview” hell? 2nd week in a row previewing and no email.

A bunch of Colorado Granger buyers got VINs today, but at least one who's been previewed a couple of times did not. I haven't been previewed or VINed, so just hanging in there and focusing on the fact that the more people get their VINs, the sooner I move up the list!
Wanted33
Wanted33
@sjp I like your reasoning Susan. If it's OK I'm gonna use that from time to time. I'm doing fairly well with knowing mine was going to be a '22 from the get go, but using the "folks getting their VIN's" will help also. :)

Saw in another dealer thread that any HT that Ford had will be held for FE. Only soft toss being pulled now.

Out of those that were previewing on Tuesday, how many got the golden email yesterday? Came and went and crickets from my email. 😐

Good morning Granger fans! I have a question about the ordering process. I'll use this example. On the invoice pricing list, a 2 Door OBX with Advanced 4x4 is $39,126. Since it includes the advanced 4x4, does it already include the rear locker and 4.27 gearing?

Do you have the WBDO (order summary) from Granger? It will show what is on your order. For my Badlands, it shows the advanced 4X4, 4.7 and lockers. Check out the Bronco Order Guide for what is included with Advanced 4X4. On the build and price, when adding advanced 4X4 to an OBX, it switches to the 4.27 and rear locker. My guess is that if you ordered Advanced 4X4, it added rear locker and 4.27, but your WBDO would tell you.

Great for some l, not so great for those getting leapfrogged by later reservations. Dang Sasquatch package!
Hobgoblin
Hobgoblin
That may be one of the only reasons I might end up with a ‘21. Going with 4 door Badlands, 2.7L, High package, Non-SAS, upgraded wheels and MIC hardtop and tow. Looking at this list shows how much LUx and SAS may be impacting the build schedule.

Confirmed: 18 Big Broncos and 8 Bronco Sports at Super Cel East! There are 6 2 Door Broncos and 12 4 Door Broncos in the full array of colors. Probably the best chance to see all of them at once. It runs tomorrow through Saturday.

May be hard for many in this group to visit, but it will be a great event. I am planning on being there on Saturday!

If I learned anything this week, there are going to be a ton of upset reservation holders from July pissed that they aren't getting a MY2021 Bronco. I'm hoping the mods make a topic in the forum for these angry individuals so they aren't making new threads and cluttering up discussion on other topics. In the end there's what 60,000-70,000 Broncos being built in 2021, while there were 150,000+ reservations in the first 2-3 days. The numbers don't add up. People should expect MY2022 and be surprised if they get a MY2021. Seems like a better mindset to take into the next few months, but I know what's coming... I may just take a few weeks off from the forum to avoid the chaos. LOL. Good luck all!
Hobgoblin
Hobgoblin
Great perspective. Many of them call those of us out who went with dealers like Granger. They say that many of us will be upset that we don't get a '21. That will certainly be the case for some but most of us also know that having an outstanding dealer who is providing great service along with a great price and experience go beyond just getting a '21. I know I am likely in '22 but you never know.

What I am anticipating are the threads where people show up to pick up their Broncos and the price they are being asked to pay is over what they expected when they placed the order. They are stuck at that point. That is not a situation that I want to experience. Hope it doesn't happen but I am sure we will see that as well.
dingle87
dingle87
Oh... it's going to happen and faces will melt. LOL

After all the chaos of B&P (which I didn't think was as bad as others made it out to be) and finding out about limited supplies, I realized real quick that I wanted a 2022 vs 2021. So, I took the extra $1k under invoice for $2k total under and made an Oct 1st reservation with Granger. I never have been one to need the shiny toy first, I'd rather have a larger down payment anyways. Keep my monthly obligation low and have flexibility each month for my family. That's more important that having a Bronco in August of 2021 vs August of 2022.

I had a July reservation and gladly gave that spot up to someone else. I haven't regretted that decision at all.

Good news for everyone driving or flying out to Granger, Iowa to pick up their Bronco. I drove an hour or so into Iowa to see what it was like.

You'll be happy to know they have Burger Kings and McDonalds and Walmarts and your favorite places just like every other state. In fact, I think they probably have everything you could want/need.

As an extra special treat, they have the world's largest truckstop. I took a picture for proof.

I-80 Truckstop, Walcott, IA... I'll be avoiding that area on my trip home, I grew up in that general area on the Illinois side of the river. I've already "experienced" what they locally have to offer. LOL. I'll be shooting north/northeast from Granger and checking out NE Iowa/NW Illinois coming home.

Yes, Iowa does have the comforts of home the rest of the US is used to having. Hahahaha. You can even find Raising Canes and Portillos in Davenport now.

@Zach@Granger , with the recent news of n/c for the sound deadening for the MIC, do we need to adjust our orders, is it just included, how will that work?

I ordered a BD and it states that it is a no cost option now that I would like to add. Once you guys have info on it can you let us know, please?

keep up the great work, looking very forward to hearing from, and more importantly seeing you guys soon!

New from Zach at Granger. $2,000 under invoice has returned!

Thanks @Zach@Granger and @Granger Ford

We will be accepting new reservation holders starting 03/20/21 for $2000 off invoice. We will continue this special for the forseeable future until the reservation process has been closed and retail demand has been fulfilled. Just like our special in October, this applies to all trims on the Bronco. I would assume that this reservation would be filled in the 2022 model year regardless of how it is configured. We would like to fulfill all our potential Bronco orders in 2021 and 2022 without any stock orders for our store just fulfilling customer retail orders. To be clear, we have no insight into what 2022 Bronco allocation formula will look like at this point and we have yet to receive our final 2021 Bronco Allocation.

But here are a few Questions I'm sure I will be asked:

  • Will this apply to transfers? - No, this is only for new reservations made on 3/20/21 and moving forward
  • When does this end? We anticipate leaving this offer open until the reservation process is closed. I would assume that Ford will end that after they can fill retail orders immediately and the reservations have been exhausted, but that is only my best guess.
  • How does this make sense for the dealership? As stated before, we are viewing 100% of these Bronco sales as incremental business. We have minimal advertising costs, floorplan interest expense, and we have the potential to make money with arranging financing, trade-ins, aftermarket accessories, and service business.
  • What will pricing be after reservations have closed? Our plan right now is to offer 3% under invoice after the reservation process has closed for all Bronco retail orders. We will not price our in-stock units this way, but any retail special order we can do that because of the lack of advertising and floorplan expenses.
  • When could I expect to see this Bronco? I believe Ford will exhaust existing reservations approximtely 1/2 way through 2022 production. So I would anticipate being towards the end of that timeframe depending on options selected.
  • How much am I saving? Based on 2021 Bronco Pricing on a Base 2 Door you'd save at a minimum $2498

Well, since I'm 2022 anyways (Grange-tober), I might as well get another reservation for this deal and have another option to kick the can down the road a bit. I do not mind waiting and letting some of the wrinkles get ironed out. Thanks for sharing this.

If you do decide to go with it, remember some states (like my state North Carolina) doesn't allow the state name to be covered by a license plate frame. The only ones I can find that are allowed are the ones that are very narrow with no type of wording. Just something for you to consider.

@Wanted33 Thanks. I went with the one that least covers the plate, but you are absolutely right and that's an excellent point everyone should consider. Each state seems to be slightly different in where the tabs/stickers go. But the bottom line of the summaries of each state's rules I just read seems to be: Don't put on anything that reduces the visibility of the plate, especially the numbers and/or annual stickers. Some law enforcement is probably much more tough on this than others.
Heffe66413

I like it but would have gone with a shade of gray or silver for the frame. Now if they go to a white top in 2022 , the above frame would look good. In fact I would go with just Granger Motors on top in white letter and leave the bottom lettering as is ,
elmystico
elmystico
@Heffe66413 Turns out they did a crappy job of printing. The text is too low and is almost cut off on the top part. The plastic frame is ridiculously thin. Can't recommend it but I'm still looking around. I think the typical options would be white plastic and chrome/metal of some kind.
Wanted33

I think I may be the only one, but I would like to have a spare tire cover with their logo. I don't know if any of you are old enough to remember that back in the 60's when the Bronco first hit the roads many had spare tires cover with the dealerships logo around the outside rim, and the bucking horse in the middle of the cover. I always likes seeing where the truck came from. But then again, that may be just me reliving the past a little.

Can’t wait to hear from Albert! I have a second day reservation but have not yet heard from anyone. I know they’re Uber busy, just very anxious to place my order to see where I sit. Hope I here from you soon. Your email said you were contacting people in order of reservations so I’m sure it will be soon, just can’t concentrate until I get this done.

Side Question: Was it ever mentioned how many reservations were made w/ Granger in Oct?
Used2jeep

ZackDanger

@Diydner Not explicitly. They were keeping their stats pretty close to the vest. I can't say that I blame them because for a while tons of people (and other dealers) were jumping on opportunities to use math to "prove" what a terrible idea reserving with them is.

I imagine that once things settle down and reservations are converted, they may be more willing to share actual numbers.
Beach_Bum

Well, damn. I guess I better go into B/P and create a build. I haven't gone in since December as there were too many bugs that I didn't want to concern myself about. I figured I had more time since I'm also a Grange-tober reservation holder.

May the odds be in everyone's favor whether you are seeking a MY22 or pushing for a MY21.

@Used2jeep No. I'm talking about the invoice pricing worksheet that is pertinent to the $2k deal. I have my Grange-tober reservation. I just haven't gone into B/P since December as it is a buggy mess that would only raise more consternation that I ultimately have no control over. I presumed the Granger order process would have taken longer so I haven't bothered yet to look at my build.

As stated before, I am very excited to buy my Bronco from Granger Ford.
Other than a sticker, has it been mentioned what other “car jewelry “ Granger offers to show we purchased our Broncos from them? With such a big following now, I would love to rock a Granger license plate cover down here in Orlando. Just not one to put stickers on vehicles.
One that says Broncotown USA would also be awesome. Just sayin!

I think Albert was considering something like that early on. He's gotten fairly busy since then ;) So I'm not sure if he decided to follow through on that as well as stickers. I can create custom designs and post to my store on Zazzle, but I have been reluctant to do that because it would seem like I'm trying to profit. I offered to make sticker designs for Albert just for fun/free (see his forum avatar for an example) including the logo and banner for this group. I made a test license plate frame but can't seem to post an image here...

@Zach@Granger and @Granger Ford , you’ve got a good guy on your team. Brandon called today, let me call him back as I was just getting out of work, went over my 2 b&p sheets I sent him, went through all the numbers and made this a very simple process. I decided on the BD build, e signed and we’re on to the next step. Thank you to the whole crew in Iowa for making this an awesome experience!
