Limited time ride offer. If you are in the Comins area I am up at the property today. Sunday the 4th. Will be here all day. Trails total out to 31.5 miles, that’s side trails included. Trip around the outer edge is 8.5 miles. Property is private, no risk of others. Mostly groomed grass hard pack in the middle of the woods. Have some descent hills some with sand on the trail system. This would be considered easy/relaxing. Dm if interested. No risk of scratches on the main trial. Other trails do get tighter, may find a down tree or 2. Really no chance of wrecking or getting stuck. Just a quiet ride through the woods if your in the area.
Does anyone know of a good mechanic / shop in the greater Detroit area that might install a catch-can?
None of the dealerships will install, and the 5 auto shops I’ve approached won’t do it either. They all keep citing liability surround third-party add-on’s as a rationale.
2.0 top replacement today. It is noticeably better than 1.0. Hopefully the seals and “rattles” that slowly creep in (until you clean all the seals with silicon, again) won’t be a problem anymore. Downside, I have to a one careful with this one
Hi everyone, finally got my Bronco about a week ago. Checking to see if any members live in the western UP. I‘m near houghton,mi trying to get into a group in my area for some off-roading fun.
OK, we have stickers for the Dream Cruise and really cool designs for Drummond Island. Thanks Ken, awesome job! We will have them for sale Friday, Saturday and by order, once we have our tax I’d and account set up (it was filed this week).
Greetings Michiganians - I am from Texas but will be visiting the UP the first two weeks of October. We will be driving the 20hr trip in our 2022 Badlands.
I would like to have any recommendations on what to see or do while in the UP including any off road drives. We do plan on going to Drummond Island so any recommendations while there would be appreciated.
I will say this - I would like to stay away from hard/extreme trails as we will probably be alone and I don’t really want to push the envelope while on vacation.
thanks for y’all’s suggestions and I can’t wait to see y’all’s beautiful state for the first time.
Here is the design we are trying to get out for Dream Cruise (this is an experiment, may or may not be available for Friday/Saturday). I love the design and we can make them available “post event” if there is demand from members that attend. We plan on selling ride patches/stickers to raise money for the club (mostly seed money for “in stock” merchandise and to pay for website hosting and insurance).
Several people have asked for an update. We have set September 24/25 as the Drummond Island trail ride for 2022. We need to decide on lodging (feel free to make suggestions for the groups consideration). Anyone with prior experience at DI, DM me. I would like to have at least two groups set up so we will need two trail leaders.
We will be offering ride patches/stickers (Bronco Brands?) for most club rides going forward. I attached a link to check out the Drummond Island draft design below. Let us know what you think!
I completed my 15K service last night. Rotated my tires, changed the oil, filter and air filter and did a general inspection. Here is my write up and some pictures on the club page, for those of you who don't or have not yet crawled under your Bronco- https://michiganbroncos.club/forums/viewthread/39/
I am not sure how many club members signed up, but Bronco Nation does have space set aside for the club. They just posted full details. Several members are doing Friday and Saturday events.
Quick notice for next week-
Come check out Broncos, young and old, with members of the Michigan Bronco Club at Ford's Garage Dearborn from 4-8pm on July 18th, 19th, and 20th at 21367 Michigan Ave, Dearborn MI 48124. If tabled food service is in the cards, be sure to make a reservation by calling Ford's Garage at 313.752.3673.
Coming up to the dunes from Ohio on Friday. Do any of you know where we get our permit for the dunes and locally where we can get flags. I have mine but coming up with two jeeps who don't have. Not easy to get down here in Ohio.
Quick reminder, we have a club ride at Camp Grayling this Saturday. We are meeting just west of Grayling, off HWY 72 at the Fredric route trail head at 11AM. We will do some of the Fredric route and then head over to Budweiser hill. Expect at least 5 hours on the trail and everyone is welcome to explore more of the area before or after. DM me if you plan to go or have any questions. Add your ph# if you want to be part of the SMS chat pre-ride. https://michiganbroncos.club/site/event/event-camp-grayling-trail-ride
*all Bronco models are capable of the ride (Sports included) but it does require 4wd.
