Pilot Rock Trail, Lake Arrowhead

Drove the Pilot Rock Trail from Silverlake up towards Lake Arrowhead this weekend. Fun trail for those of us in the So. Cal. area. The trail itself is relatively easy, with a few “pucker” moments. Also, there are options/turn offs to take a more difficult route along the way if you’re into testing your Bronco and abilities.

This trail is less than 20 minutes from Lake Arrowhead. Even better if you can return to your lake house at the end of the day and crack a cold beer.

Thanks for sharing. Just got my 2023 WT and am looking for day trips in my area. I live in Altadena at the doorway to the ANF but most areas there are behind USFS gates.
would love to see more suggestions.

I’m in Pasadena and can assure you that the state and feds have us locked out of everything in the ANF.

You are correct! That was a pucker spot, thought the Bronco was going to tilt over a couple time descending that hill. The Bronco is much more capable than my skill set would otherwise allow.

I’m in the Pasadena area with a 23 Wildtrak that I would love to explore the Lake Arrowhead / Big Bear area with, This looks like a great trail to add to the list!
