All cars are POS. That’s just how it is. And-this is her car. First time wheeling where she drove (previous trips to Moab she would get very scared over tiny things. A curb sized rock, for example) she got high centered where a lifted 2-door didn’t. I explained breakover and she asked what we needed to keep up with the real bronco. Told her “shit. 40” tires” and she asked if she could get them. Mind you, this incredible specimen of a woman is not materialistic and has never asked me to buy a thing for her. I told her absolutely we can, but she needs to do the work so she knows how to fix it. She enthusiastically agreed not knowing the extent of what we would be doing. And now she loves it. Or at least she says so in between dropping c-bombs.
My wife drives a JK. When I met her she had a ‘78 4wd Hi lux. We’ve always wheeled, but only my trucks - S10, ram, F250, H2.
she will not wheel hers, even tho she’s only had 4wd because “she wants to sit higher than a car for safety” 😂
After the Tn Rodeo, she wants to wheel again, after a hiatus. But she is complaining about the cost of skids and taking my daily driver out. But after 38 years of marriage, I’m wearing her down…
After showing her vids of Windrock tonite, she wants me to get full body skids and told me “it was so fun” let’s go for it.
I haven’t showed her the vid of your wife on 3 wheels. Baby steps…

And the swap is complete. No bumper chop this time. The clearance was nice when we needed it, but it was rarely used and it looks significantly better with the stock bumper in place. Accidentally ripped one of the fenders apart when removing them. Was a bit too impatient with the heat gun and too Harambe with the pulling. Contacted ADV on repair suggestions and they got right back to me with suggestions. Ultimately I didn’t have time to run to a body shop for the right stuff, so taped the seam and dumped resin in there. Seems to be holding okay, but they are a bit heavier. Honestly I’m still very impressed with those fenders. Each one has been bounced off rocks and aren’t broken.

Big shoutout to @Ducati1098 for helping me out yesterday. Had to download a Forscan Beta version to get all the module learning options back so that the computer would be happy after the tire circumference change. I didn’t do the true circumference and went down a little in size to get the speedo 10% off. The best we could do before was 8% so might as well make the math easier cuz tarded.

Very nice!... I like my speedo off. I have never changed my tire size, chose not to on purpose, and I am at 8%... I round to 10 when I am driving. Now when Ford sells my collected driving habits to an insurance data aggregator I am always driving the speed limit! LOL.... It is going to be fun listening to the evaluation of this build vs your new long arm..... I really think there is going to be pros and cons to each. Damn I like the looks of that!

It does look way better. The stripes and whatnot were done before the 40’s, and seeing it without them but with the sliders, neither of us think it needs the extra black. Looks good the way it is.

It does not look good... it looks awesome!.... then again, this is just one dumb old mans opinion.... But I do apply that subjective aesthetic judgment to everything I look at. I am a simple guy that values structural simplicity over graphical chaos.... Many would disagree with me. All just opinions....

Great ride, and nice work (just too much work!). Looks just right.

Whatever happened with your Bronco Sport that everyone saw in Peru (on the road from Lima to Machu Pichu)?

Too many people were waving to me. Had to get rid of it for a more inferior ride. (But not a raptor. Not cutting my standards that low)

You know,...I am aware how much work certain someone put in this. Taking the credit for all this (and raking up "likes" on the forum) just seems wrong for some unknown reason.

Same reason won't let me get the song "Brown Sugar" out of my head

Do likes and a reaction score even do anything on a forum? Is there a way to monetize this beyond my onlyfans?

Unfortunately, some people relate "likes" with being "popular". You remember the high school don't you? "Popular" people were a special class (no, not "short bus" special!), just special. They had their own secret handshakes, they were always together, and everyone looked up to them. They were good looking, in designer clothes, etc. Everyone wanted to be "popular". Everyone.

Now anyone can get "likes" and "followers". Even the ugly, pimply, fat, nearsighted, greasy losers, with bad breath can be "social media" stars. There is no monetary value in it for most people, but for the people that have low self-esteem (because they are ugly, pimply, fat.....) the "likes" do offer relief, and MANY live in that fantasy world they created. Everyone can be "smart", "eloquent", "beautiful".....everyone. Social media leveled the playing field in a way.

In your case.........."reactions" don't matter. You know who/what you are, and you don't need "accolades" from the strangers on the web.

Too bad we lost "Savs", I enjoyed fuckin' with him (he is the prime example of what I tried to say above). This place is a lot less entertaining without him and his BBR. I have no clue what he looks like, but some people need "likes" and "waves" because they are "ugly, pimply, fat" on the inside (or they feel that way).

The reason I joked about you "raking likes on the forum" (I'm sure you knew this, I am typing this for people that might read this and go "WTF"!?), is because he said in one of his posts that were are both "bullies" (Adam too!) and abuse him while "liking" and "loving" each other's posts.

I miss the poor bastard.
