@swamp2 so you ran the wire all the way from the sub to the front in the panels to mount?
Yes, the 3.5mm plug cable, from the sub to the drivers knee kick panel. Obviously would have been faster/more efficient to run it when I ran the fat power cable from the battery to the sub amp.

Well Dang. 2024 Bronco. Subwoofer worked before so no need to run Forscsn. I think I’ve done everything right and run the speakers as per the wiring diagram. Power. Ground from wiring harness…. Green light on amp. .but I’ll be damned if I don’t have sound.
😭. Any help appreciated. @RagnarKon @swamp2 @Brian_B

Haven’t looked at this in detail but are there any jumpers or switches on the amp, and you’ve double checked the positions of all of those?

Bumner. All I have is to double check the wiring per my prior post:

Wiring colors courtesy of @6inthefamily here.
  1. White with orange stripe = upfitter switch (dont use, tape off)
  2. Yellow with red stripe = power (dont use, tape off, ran new 8 guage power wire)
  3. Violet with green stripe = speaker positive
  4. Green with white stripe = speaker negative
  5. Black with green stripe = ground (don't use)
  6. Yellow with violet stripe = remote turn on
And did you wire the sub properly per Kicker instructions?

Just started tackling this project today.

2dr, b&o.

I’m not excited about the vents I created when removing the notch to fit the 8” sub. I think I’m going to caulk around the sub trim ring to try and seal it back up..

I’m also not sure how to tackle mounting the Mobridge amp. I think I can get some metal hangar strap and modify the rear park assist bracket to hold the amp and module after shearing off the existing rivet bolts.

seems like a perfect part to fab up and sell for $100.

Hi there,

I installed my Mobridge amp and installed a full size 8" Kicker sub in the OEM enclosure in my 2 door a few months ago and it sounds fantastic! Here are some pics that might help with your install. I purchased 2 Lowes framing straps and modified them to mount the amp, cost was $2.00. With the sub I cut the tab and trimmed the enclosure to fit using a dremel tool, then sealed it up with silicone glue so there were no leaks except the port. Hope this helps!

I have a ‘23 Bronco with Subwoofer Delete and I’ve installed an Amp/Sub box out of a Raptor and the plugs are different. Are there any known adapter remedies?

What was the Raptor? 2022-2024?? 2025?? Did it have the Lux package?

I’ll guess ‘24 w/Lux… here are the ports

Paperweight for you unfortunately.

The blue connector is for an A2B bus, which is a digital audio signal. For 2023, it was only available on Broncos with the Lux package.

Apologies if this has been asked & answered. I have a '23 4-door with the B&O system, but looking for a little more thump. Is it possible to simply remove the B&O 8" sub and replace it with a Kicker CompR 8" sub (48CWR84) - all while still using the factory amplifier & wiring? Or do I need to replace the factory sub and/or wiring?

Very possible.

Do not expect a big improvement—if you replace the sub, the weak link becomes the amplifier.

I did this exact upgrade over the weekend. I would say it is slightly better. Had the top off when I initially turned it on and tested and was kind of bummed it wasn't great, but once I put the top back on and I guess sealed the cabin, it does sound better. I think I am still going to look into a standalone amp for the sub - maybe the kicker 500.1, but it is better and will handle more power once I go that route.

I will say that I never bought into the fact that ford was sending engine sound through the stereo, but I swear it sounds deeper now after the sub change. I may have to look into those forscan changes, but if it sounds OK, does it matter?
