So my Bronco is nearing 4 years of age (Mar 22 build), and finally had it's first "real" warranty claim. It has had many recalls (7 and counting I think...) , and a center MIC panel replacement (but the entire MIC roof is just a train wreck for Ford/Webasto so I put that in a different bucket)
Up until now it has just been oil changes at the dealership, and I have replaced the cabin filter and engine air filter on my own. But at my last oil change as part of their multi-point inspection, there was an oil leak from the front axel pinion gear seal. It couldn't have been big because I would have noticed on my garage floor.
Anyway it was covered under the 5 year/50K mile powertrain warranty. I still haven't used my extended Ford warranty. For all the jokes about Ford quality (Fix Or Repair Daily) I have been pleasantly surprised at how trouble-free my Bronco has been.
This was my 7th oil change ($70) and I have replaced the cabin filter and engine air filter 1x each ($25 and $35). Still on the OG wiper blades and tires (will need new tires by this December as I am down to 6-7mm of tread left). So other than gas, the maintenance on my Bronco has been $550. I am pleasantly surprised after 38K miles.
I hope most owners have had a trouble free first couple of years like I have. I can only hope that the next 4 years are equally as uneventful.
