I was going to Merus one weekend early in the morning after sleeping rough all night long. Stopped at this gas station that wasn't open, pumps weren't on (Amarillo on I-40, surprised me they weren't 24hrs) . 🤦‍♂️ Ok, next gas station, also not open but pumps appeared to work. Took my card, dribbled gas out for a few minutes. 🤦‍♂️ Next gas station, also closed and really beat up, but hey, pump works! Get gas, go walk around, "what's the running water...?" Ah shit, the pump didn't shut off. Gas everywhere. Next time I was in Amarillo a few weeks later, gas station is closed.

So I go to a grocery store to get some breakfast, they were out of what I wanted. 🤦‍♂️ Got some other stuff I didn't want. There was a Quick Quack car wash right there, so I pull in to get Bronco washed, drive in the wrong way. 🤦‍♂️ Roll down my passenger window to talk to the guy who came running out. I pull around, roll down my driver side window, talk to the guy about the shitty morning I'd been having, he gives me the wash on the house (he was really great, very nice guy). It turns on, I start rolling in, wait foam and smelly water everywhere! The guy saw it at the last minute, stops the machine, I'm so disoriented I don't know what's happened for a second, he's like, "ROLL YOUR PASSENGER WINDOW UP!!" Oh! (y) 🤦‍♂️

I did make it there on time. Epically bad morning, though. I'd had my Bronco for like three months.
The number of face palms in this story really sums it up!

I know it's not exactly what you meant, but for me it's probably buying a 2 door and then having 3 kids 😅
I’m trying real hard using my imagination to figure out exactly how you managed to do that in your 2 door.

Well done, sir, well done!

At the end of a long 3 days of wheeling in Moab, I came to an obstacle that I was nervous about. I get out, look at it, decide "I'm too tired to risk this".

Get back in the Bronco, turn toward the bypass, and CRUNCH, run over a boulder that was not in my view while in the Bronco. Luckily, just some cosmetic damage to the front bash plate and my license plate frame that hangs off the front bumper.

I was, indeed, too tired to attempt the real obstacle.

My stupid mistake was trying to put my Bronco in the garage not once, but twice with the front convertible top open. Hit the hold down latches on the garage. Both times I knocked the latches backward but was able to put them back without too much of a problem.
After doing it once, I should have learned!

I've also done that twice. Once you start, you have to keep going. In my garage, it's quite the puzzle to get the top back up again.

That reminds me - need to touch up paint the bottom of the middle garage arch!

I feel like once you had already crunched it you might as well have done the real obstacle!

Smoked the height sign at a parking garage when I had the soft top folded back. Now there's a yellow paint smudge on the latches. Felt like a giant dumbass.

Thinking that it would help me out in the lady department, it hasn't done that and all I get are old guys that talk to me about it, don't mind talking to the older men, but come on lol

Try as I might.... I cannot figure out how that physically happened.
The position and angle are so strange.
I have to ask - What happened?
