Hi folks,

Dedicating this thread as a home base for fitment questions, install photos, and anything mirror-related.

A few things we can help with in this thread: confirming fitment for your year/trim; install tips; and before/after photos from other owners

Drop your year, trim, and what you're running now, and we'll point you in the right direction.

Hello Eddy,

Does @Suma Performance offer non-colored mirrors - as in a traditional chrome-silver reflective mirror?

Just wanted to say that I love my Suma mirrors and they were a breeze to install.

We only offer Blue or Grey; both are coated with an anti-glare coating.
I have never experienced any glare issues with my current OEM mirrors and the images are clear and crisp -- but I wish they were wide angle.
So, what is the difference between the two colors (blue vs gray) in your @Suma Performance mirrors?

Any plans to offer it without the logo applied to the glass?

SUMA mirrors they all have the SUMA logo to provide the authenticity. It's smaller than the "Objects are closer than they appear." :)

With SUMA mirrors, the difference between Blue and Grey is purely aesthetic. Both are designed to reduce blind spots and headlight glare, but if your windows are tinted, most people find Grey easier to see.

Okay.
Thank you for the explanation.

We REALLY REALLY want non tinted. Those of us with tinted windows cannot see out of the Blue or Grey (or is it Gray) tint at night. I loved the mirrors until I got my windows tinted and then had to uninstall them.

Did I mention that we REALLY REALLY want non tinted?

OK, I'll finally ask... @Suma Performance : You previously sold the non-tinted version and people loved them. What happened? Was it a copyright/legal issue? What is bizarre is you've seen the HUGE number of requests for non-tint, so it at least "appears" you just don't care to sell those AGAIN --- or is there some other barrier?

PS: People are buying used versions of your old non-tint mirrors online at a premium, but you won't (or maybe can't) sell new ones? Initially I assumed maybe a manufacturing problem, but the old legacy ones appear to be holding up great (and a lot do NOT have the SUMA logo which is interesting too).

I’ll add myself to the list of someone who really likes the idea of these but the logo is the dealbreaker for me. I’ve seen a few sets of these in person and it’s just a distractor for me that keeps me from pulling the trigger. If it’s an authenticity guarantee that’s cool put it somewhere else, got a link for the knock off because I’d rather give them the money if they don’t have it. The tint I could live with but I also would prefer no tint as well.

Thank you for sharing your feedback.

These updates are the result of a new manufacturing process and a new sub-vendor. With the current setup, along with the optical glass supplied by our Japanese vendor, we’re only able to produce side mirrors with an anti-glare coating.

Regarding the logo, we completely understand how it might stand out. We include it as a way to verify authenticity, especially since we provide a warranty on our mirrors. It helps us ensure we can properly support you if any issues ever come up.
