We’ve recently discovered that some late 2025 Bronco models are using a different BLIS connector. If your vehicle falls into this category, the BLIS feature on Suma mirrors will not work with the current connector.

The good news: our engineering team is already working on a solution and developing a new connector to resolve this.

When you say late 2025 are you referring to the entire second half of the year?

Also can you provide pics of the different connectors for folks to check. I was on the site then came back and saw this. I have a 2025.

I have a late 2025 build with BLIS and defrost options. It has the new style BLIS connector as shown above. I received my Suma mirrors earlier this week and was anxious to get them installed so I decided to rewire them.

There were two wiring issues I ran into and have included a photo below of the rewired Suma mirror. Note that this was my first attempt and I had the BLIS wires reversed. Sorry I don't have a final wiring pic.

Issue 1 - BLIS Connection

I took the new BLIS connector from my original mirrors and spliced them to the Suma mirrors. After connecting them the wrong way as shown in the pic below, I got them working without any error codes. For reference, the correct BLIS wiring should be:

Suma Mirror --> BLIS Connector
Red --> Green/Black
White --> Red/Black

Issue 2 - Defroster Connection

The original mirror gap for the defroster posts is 3/8" and the vehicle as a hard black plastic clip with this spacing. The Suma mirror has a 1/2" gap so you cannot use the original wiring clip.

I pulled the defroster wires from the clip (heat gun helped) and put some heat shrink on each connector so they could clip to the wider tabs.

While I have only one drive under my belt, I am loving the new Suma mirrors. A huge improvement over stock ones.

These are the connector from the 2026 Bronco.. I was doing the Suma mirrors and did the same wiring mistake thinking Red would go to Red on suma, nope.. Need to rewire them now….

Suma is making new mirrors and/or adapter leads. I sent them my 2025 mirrors and they made adjustments for newer models.
Both BLIS and Defroster Heater leads changed.

They’re sending my OEM’s and Suma Grey back this week.. due Friday.

I’d wait for their new version.

Update on the late 2025-2026 Wire Connections

Received the replacement "late 2025" mirrors in Grey. Holding Blue next to Grey, look very similar in foreground.. looking at my reflection in mirror, although the Grey does have a lighter background. The wall & detail behind me was lighter with the Grey mirror.

The Wire Connection Update was 2 new electrical "adapter leads".
I also noticed the mount was the same.
I attempted to carefully remove the 2 temporary Suma Mirrors from Bronco. 1 Came off complete, the other one left the mount ring on the Mirror mount.

Attached... photos of Mirrors with adapter leads. I think all you need to do is request the adapter leads, mirrors appear the same.

JB Weld Plastic Bond on seams:
After seeing how easy the mount separated when removing, I applied a thin bead of JB Plastic Bonder around the outside of the mount ring, adhering to the plastic base. By default the mount adheres to the foam layer and 2 tabs to mirror base. The JB Plastic Bond mixes up much thinner than regular JB Weld and flows into the spaces between the plastic components and I believe is a mix more favorable to plastic parts.

I've had very good success with the plastic bond. I had Plastic PCV CCV mount break, that I used JB Plastic bond... very solid bound between the parts and nice shoulder bead.

Update on 2025 connections...
I sent Suma my Bonco OEM Mirrors to help address the connection problem.
Incidentally, currently waiting to receive my OEM Mirrors back too.

The Connection for the BLIS worked nicely.

The Heater / Defroster connection did not.
The Spade connector was 1/2 the thickness needed to fit the OEM connector.
No contact to stay in connector... not the correct Spade connector for Mirror.

Wanting to get this quick mirror update done after weeks pending updates, I folded the Spades and they fit snugly into OEM connector.

Posting an update here: I received my late 2025 update kit from Suma. BLIS is working like a charm. I’ve not tested the mirror defroster, but the spade terminals fit snug and I have no reason to believe they wouldn’t work.
