Third gear is grinding intermittently on my '22 Badlands 7 speed. 70K miles, and I'm not friggin' happy about it. What's the experience here with owners ??

Common problem. Sounds like it probably needs a new 3rd gear synchronizer.
Do you have ESP?

Is this just a symptom of normal wear (70k on OP’s vehicle) or is it brought on by some specific behavior/operation?

Actually I noticed it from just a couple months driving it when first purchased. But it was so minor I thought maybe it was my fault, not fully engaging the clutch or my timing at the shiftstick ?

It started to do it more frequently the last 45 days or so and is getting worse.

Yep, been adjusting my shifting style to avoid that nasty little grinding.

Same thing happened to mine last year, at around 60-65k miles I believe. At first I thought I developed a habit of missing 3rd or getting lazy while shifting, but no it got worse to the point where I had to go from 2nd to 4th on purpose and vice versa. It's that TSB that @Ducati1098 was referencing. That should take care of it.
