Most Virginia gas stations accept used oil and filters at no charge. How much do you pay to dispose of the used oil and filter?
that great. almost like soda bottle and cans. Most Virginia gas stations accept used oil and filters at no charge.

Yep, I take mine to the Oreilly down the road. They always happily take it.Many, if not most, auto parts stores as well.
Just jam it in there until you hit the pan. No trick. I warm up the oil to make it thinner. I let it drain while I remove the filter. Is there a trick to getting the hose down the dipstick tube? With my extractor, only the very smallest hose will fit down the tube, and seems like it would take hours to suck 6 qt up and out. The next size up seems too big to get more than a few inches down the tube.
The Bronco's presently free at Ted Britt in Chantilly because I bought it there. I just had the Mustang done last week while I was getting some other things fixed, and it was 103. I believe they actually do the extra checks, my license plate light was out hahaThese days, depending on where you live, that’s reasonable as dealers go. If you do full synthetic with 5-tire rotation, $140-$160 is typical at dealers in Northern VA. Everything is more expensive here.
They give you a long list of “free” checks & inspections they are doing at the same time. Whether they actually do it all is hard to know.
Ted Britt isn’t where I bought it , but I did my first oil change and 5-tire rotation there less than a month after I bought it.The Bronco's presently free at Ted Britt in Chantilly because I bought it there. Did you buy a maintenance plan? I bought the PremiumCARE extended service plan (warranty) but not the maintenance. I was supposed to get 3 “free” oil changes from the dealer I bought it from, but they are an hour from where I live and it was only free for synthetic blend, not full synthetic.huh, weird. I got free service as part of the deal.

Don`t forget some Trooper,Loverboy and Doug and the Slugs !April Wine?! Tell me your Canadian, without telling me your Canadian, lol. From the same era but opposite ends of the country, throw on some Prism, specifically Armageddon and see if you can get the oil change done between the opening sounds of the jets scrambling and the closing notes. If you need more time, throw on Rush's 2112. It doesn't get much longer than that.
On the USA side, Paradise by the Dashboard Light and Don Mclean's American Pie come to mind as lengthy tunes.
And not having to pull the skid plate. An extractor changes the game on these oil changes, no more messy spill with the huge oil plug.
It's the 10-20% of old oil they can not remove that concerns me with the use! It's far more important for me to get as much dirty oil out!And not having to pull the skid plate.
What brand of oil extractor are you using?
