No need to wrap the door jams.Everyone keeps telling me to get black if I'm going to wrap it - what's the thought process behind that?
Sometimes, it's nice getting out of your own head and hearing other people's opinions...I have never understood questions on forums asking "What do I want?" when you should be able to pick what you actually want based on your own personal opinions and experience.
Am I missing something?
Everyone keeps telling me to get black if I'm going to wrap it - what's the thought process behind that?
And if you're serious about getting it wrapped, then get black and you can skip the door jambs if you want since they will blend into the interior.
Agree with this. My first Jeep was black, shows all the scratches in great detail. Lighter colors are better for hiding the damage. If you are going to wheel it, buy something easy to repaint.
There will inevitably be gaps - think hinges and door sills. You want those to disappear into shadow. A darker color makes the shadows better. Any light or bright color will be a highlight at those gaps.Everyone keeps telling me to get black if I'm going to wrap it - what's the thought process behind that?
Seeking validation from total strangers is pointless, ask your wife, family, friends, or bartender what color you want... then go with whatever color makes your butt look smaller (definitely NOT pink).Sometimes, it's nice getting out of your own head and hearing other people's opinions...
I was thinking about this same thing yesterday. The staff at Ford must still be suffering from the effects of Henry’s “ you can have any color you like as long as it is black” quote. Of course things are loosening up a bit because now instead of black it is gray.
My wife says Marsh Gray is pretty much Mud Brown, I of course agree.I was thinking about this same thing yesterday.
Though I don't understand why Azure Gray is even called gray. Looks like light blue, though I haven't seen it in person.
