If I could have optioned my Bronco to have a "key fob" delete, where I have a single thin key I have to put in the door to unlock it, I ABSOLUTELY would have.

All this convenience electronic crap is way more trouble than its worth.

This upgrade brings modern “Touch to Unlock, Press to Lock” functionality to your Bronco using genuine OEM-style components designed specifically for your vehicle.
Might be a dumb question, but are these 3rd party components or actual OEM component? You say “OEM-style,“, but that seems like a lot of components to recreate given the OEM versions are available. Just curious.

The one announced at the beginning of this thread is from infotainment, so it's a 3rd party component.

I know the kit is from them, but did they recreate all the wiring harnesses or just buy them from Ford?

Bronco OE passive locking is the worst system have ever experienced ever in two decades over multiple models.

Firstly, doesnt work with back doors, then you need to practically rub the fob on gailgate to get it to work, then with locking the feedback is very poor never know if it actually locked.

Stick with the FOB this system would be a total waste of time and money to add on IMO.

I agree with the others who say the rear doors of the four-door should have this feature. It’s a pain in the ass if you have a backpack or have kids that you need to put in the rear seat first before you get in the car. this is not only Ford a lot of vehicle manufacturers do this.

I noticed on the video that the new handle that is installed is stamped with a Ford logo on the inside, so that part looks OEM anyway

This looks great. Due to Ford's games with configuration they would not allow the Mid package with Manual + Black Diamond. Looking at the website that's an option now, but in 2021 the only way to get both the passive keyless and a manual was to go all the way up a Badlands. That was a lot of extra stuff to have to buy to get the one feature I wanted.

My only question with this install is about the fobs: It looks like you have to program two new key fobs, but I've already added a third using the same method (putting the two original in the console and then adding the third). My understanding is that the system only accepts 4 slots for keys so would I be able to add both of the new ones?
