Our 2015 Mustang convertible had air conditioned leather seats. Wish the Bronco had them. I have the marine grade vinyl also. I like it more than Wifey. Would have gotten leather otherwise. Cloth was always in the cheapie models and started looking bad pretty quickly. Not sure why the OP thinks cloth is high-end lol.
I never said cloth is high end. Just seems higher end than vinyl, though I haven't test driven one yet.

Your mostly vinyl comment is unfortunately absolutely correct. Here is a pic of the breakdown, and the cracking I experienced on my last Bronco

It's really wild manufacturers can get away with calling those leather seats.

My Heritage Edition came with cloth seats, and they were fine.
Not a fan of vinyl, at all.
Had the seats reupholstered thru Katzkin.
LOVE them. The leather is perforated, the heaters still get hot, and they are quite a bit more comfortable.

I totally agree. Vinyl were always the cheap seats back in the day. I guess Ford figured out they could sell "premium Marine Grade Vinyl" seats that make people think of bass boat seats or something and voila! Upmarket baby! 💰 👋 🤑

I guess they coulda also mentioned they match that SEAL-team MILSPEC 44-0443L. How many vinyl seats survive getting kicked out a plane?? Missed opportunity! lol

Seems like people have forgot about the cloth seats in the OBX and Wildtrak from MY'21-23. Leather was always an option. Those two trims could be ordered with the High/Lux packages making them one of the higher priced Bronco trims.

To the OP, if you are looking to add the OEM cloth seats after sale, then you'll need the seat foam backs as they are different than the OEM MGV seat backs.

If you are going to add cloth seat covers to the OEM MGV seats, have no concern whether the seat warmers will be inadequate. Ford's seat warmers are 🔥.

I'm surprised they haven't marketed the vinyl seats as 'vegan leather' for the west coast markets.
Vegan leather sounds awful. Imagine leather seats made out of vegans? Rough, scaly, thin, patchy malnourished looking seats. I'll pass

I suggest Pleather. Some will interpret as "plant-based leather" (y), some will know it's "petroleum-based leather" (er vinyl), and the sickos will get off on their new lampshades. Win win win!

FWIW, I had cloth seats (seemed like a tough polyester) in a 2015 Ford F150 XLT that held up pretty good over the course of 10 years.
The trick to avoid wear is to not slide your fanny over the side edge of the seat getting out of the vehicle. In other words, step out of the vehicle, don’t slide out of it. I think the same applies to whatever material the seats are made out of.

That being said, if I had “vinyl trimmed leather” seats in FoCoBronc’s condition I’d be pretty disappointed in their construction.

I've always been a fan of cloth seats. Warmer in the winter, cooler in the summer, and typically far more durable. It's a shame that automakers don't make them optional in higher end models. I think VW is one of the few manufactures that offer this with the Golf R and Porsche optioning Alcantara seats in most of their vehicles. I don't have any issues with my Bronco Leather/vinyl seats but at the same time I'm not expecting long term durability based on all the photos I have seen of cracking in the bolsters.

That's one option I think Jeep has correct. I believe leather is only standard on the Sahara (similar to the OBX). Available on the Rubicon, but it's an add on option. Plus it's all leather, not leather trimmed vinyl.

I had cloth in my 2018 F150. They were comfortable, no complaints.

Cloth seat covers over heated vinyl/leather seats won’t affect the seat heaters much.. At the highest setting they get extremely hot. I usually run them at the lowest setting in Minnesota winters.
I'll second this. I only use the lowest setting for my heated seats. They pump out some heat.

I LOVE the alcantara seats in my Challenger.
