So I wanted to have the doors off but my dog fully secured. Ended up with a ruffwear 3 buckle harness and the Kong tether that attaches to the latch anchor points.

Works great and as you can see now everyone can enjoy no doors safely.

When I'm rolling no doors, I pop the rear glass up and put the pup in the back. I've thought about getting some sort of harness and short tether and clipping him to the middle seatbelt but I think he'd hate that. I'm sure that I'll experiment with that type of setup at some point.
