Perfect, thanks!
Gonna get on with this project. Now the only grey area is the FORSCAN edits.
Edit: do you have the referenced airbag procedure 501-20B Supplemental Restraint System, too?

Yeah, until I break down and pay for FDRS, I get the same code. AC and heat all work perfectly fine though. No biggie, so far at least.Parts arrived today and I installed this evening...all I need to do is tap into fuse 37 for the heating element power. I currently have the same DTC on the SCCM as Papa Smurf stated, but I'm also getting a U2024 "not programmed" code for the HVAC module, even though it is programmed and everything works as it should. The F150 guys seem to think this isnt a big deal, but may lead to issues with updates in the future. Did any of you have this code too? And were you able to clear it? - Thanks/
edit** currently using the latest FORSCAN version with recommended cable, no issues with writing, etc
Well done!!!Can confirm this mod works on a 2024 OBX mid! FORSCAN changes made to the HVAC, SCCM, IPC and APIM. I used the 2024 Bronco Raptor lists to pinpoint the changes (searched for HSW and Heated). No DTC other than the soft one for the HVAC programming. HSW shows up on the screen and comes on with remote start too. Resounding success!!
Not sure if its that simple, as you can adjust the setpoint temp in the SCCM, so something in the modules is controlling the current to the wheel...but who knows..I love this thread, but I do have a question. If you got the wheel, clockspring and the wire harness could you just hook up an on/off switch to power the heat without adding the hvac parts? I have a 25 BB Black Diamond SAS coming in this week and the heated wheel is the only thing it doesn't have that I want.
I fuse tapped a 20amp fuse at the fuse panel underneath the driver side dash close to the OBD plug. Fuse 37 I believe. The Bronco does something different than my Maverick did. The Broncos already have power coming off fuse 37…. It powers the other half of the SCCM. The lux wire harnesses have a splice the splits the wire off into 2 sections. I just tapped into that fuse and ran a separate wire. If someone wanted, they could t-tap that existing wire and gain power. I wanted it to be reversible if I wanted to take it off later.
The other half of the pigtail is a ground. There are a few locations hidden under the dash.

3U2Z-14S411-CAAThis thread is fantastic. I purchased a raptor wheel for the paddle shifters but adding the heated wheel would be a bonus. I have a 23 Big Bend Mid package. I have the Dual control HVAC. I see part number references for the SCCM and the clock spring but I don't see the part number for the needed pigtail. Can someone share that with me? thank you
