Nice setup. Personally, I'd rather have two smaller Rotopax. Dumping fuel from the larger ones by yourself is a PITA. Or maybe I just need to hit the gym more!
Other options tested. I have lots of old rotopax kicking around. I settled on the 4G because the larger singular tank was more stable when mounted. Shared structure if you will.

Where are you going that you need additional fuel?
This weekend I’m headed up into the Flat Tops within CO’s White River National Forest. My daughter and I are going to explore for a few days and look for some fish. The Flat tops trip is more of a test trip for this rack. Then in Oct I’m headed back into the Maze District of Canyonlands National park for two nights at the Dollhouse. Last time I ran short on fuel, so I’m planning to bring a stupid amount of fuel.

Kindred spirits! I am trying to decide between Flat Tops and north of Hahns Peak this weekend. Leaning north to stay out of the smoke. But if I go Flat Tops, I'll look for ya.

And Maze District makes sense, needing extra fuel. I have dirt biked down there and it is a LONG ways to anything. Great night skies though.

Ha!!

Yeah, I’m hoping the smoke up in the Flat Tops won’t be too bad, but to be honest I expect it to be smoky. Kiddo wants to fish in the Flat Tops and I’ve never been up there so we are sticking to our plan. We live in Lyons and it’s pretty darn smokey outside lately…I can taste it. Good luck up north!
