It's worth a shot. I don't see how steam will cause it to get worse. The steam might not be hot enough like a heat gun to blend the chemical residue.
It would be nice to know what cleaner cause the damage so others can avoid it.had the sun beat my interior cleaner into the plastic on my dash anyone have any remedies on how to blend it or remove it ?
FYI, if you do install an update, you'll lose the rolling rocks animation.
it was a armor all wipe 🫠 i'm thinking the problem was the sun beat it into the finish cause it wasn't dried. i did use a magic eraser and got it off im not sure if it worse or what but it's gone and that's all i cared about lol

Airbags push through there, right? Overlay might not be okay. I bet it could easily be (re)painted though.
I have had stains for a couple of years…… If it gets worse or bothers me more, I will probably do some kind of overlay.
The overlay from StickerFab specifically has a cutout/perforation to accomodate airbag deployment. But that is a good point since other brands may not be thinking about that.
