It was actually a cooler day today, so I got the upgraded, longer SS bolts put in the spare tire carrier!

I found a rear camera extension fiber wire, so I used it this time and it made installing the modified carrier much easier to install!

I ordered extended length lugnuts, but whatever the morons at Extreme Terrain sold me are not extended length..., hell they're not even what I ordered! They're standard black lugnuts...

Well, I noticed Friday night, as I was hooking up my trailer, to run grab something at Lowe's, that my passengers side light has done the same as the rest.

Mine are just a hair over 2 years old... No other light looks good to me, so I'll be throwing the stock ones back in!

I'm glad I had a bad feeling about these lights, after reading the reviews a couple years ago, and kept them! I hate the OEM tail lights, but have no choice now...

Mine died a couple of weeks ago after almost three years. They do make a version 2 that is supposed to address the issues with them. I agree, best looking 6G taillight out there.

First - this has to be one of the coolest 6G Bronco's on here!! Reading through this thread is like a master-class on how to go from Awesome to "Unbelievable"! Nice work on the Bronco and documenting it all!

Second - you clearly have the coolest wife on earth to let you get away with spending so much $ and time on your car! Some guys have all the luck!

Thanks, but we have no children, which helps a lot. But she has her own Bronco too.

Both my parents have passed, left a decent inheritance, what better way to spend it :)

And if you do all of the work yourself, it's definitely easier on the wallet, LOL!

Tonight, I removed the junky Oracle tail lights and reinstalled my OEM lights and grateful that I kept the OEM ones! Took a couple of days to get my FORScan license so I could change the settings back to the OEM LED's lights...

Finally found something, on Etsy, for the 4x4 shifter to "hopefully" keep our dogs from accidentally stepping on the buttons and putting our Broncos into 4wd? It's quite bulky, but as long as it works like the seller says it should, it shouldn't be an issue for us. The flipping up lid is the only issues I see that may fail...? I wish the seller just made it without the flip up part, as it's a friction fit over the know, meaning it's not difficult to remove, put into 4lo and stick it back on... Or just remove it and put it back on once you're done off-roading...

I really like what you did. I’m thinking of getting a 2 dr bronco badlands. My 2014 VW Touareg tdi id like to replace with my last vehicle. After seeing yours I can see with little money can make it something like this look. I’m 63 and just retired. Wish they still

Thanks!

Depending on how much you want to spend, you might be able to make it physically look like mine, but I do have a small fortune in parts although I installed everything myself.

I'm also not the only EG to do make a Classic look, there is a whole thread of us, LOL!

Buy a low-mileage 23 or 24 2 door V6? No reason to buy a 26 4 cyl 2 door. I think Ford really f'd up, when they pulled the V6 2 door option!

And if you're concerned about highway noise, you might not want 37" mud tires, haha! We don't care about the noises or the ride, but we're used to vehicles like this.

I ordered a new set of custom grille letters, similar to the ones I have currently, but most of a 1960's look :) Also, since I've relocated the front camera from the grille to the winch, I do not like that white camera cover/hole in the grille, so last week, I ordered some custom length plexiglass pieces, which should be ready this week. Debating if I should paint it back White or Silver? I've seen both colors on 1st gen grilles with the same color letters below.

If you're going for a particular 'look', the stock early broncos had a white painted grill. The 'Explorer' and 'Ranger' trims got the 'argent' silver paint. Those letters look spot on.

I wasn't exactly sure what first gens had the White grilles and which ones had the Silver/Aluminum grille. I was one of the first people, to order from this Etsy seller 2 years ago. I got Eruption Green with Silver outlining, which is what I currently have on the ole Bronco at the moment.

But, like I posted above, I relocated the camera down to the bumper and it looks strange to me now, so I got 2 pieces of Plexiglass cut, full length across my grille, parking light to parking light and I got them a little taller, one 1/8" thick and the other 1/4" thick. What I have in the pic above is 1/4" thick. I'm also debating on pulling the new red letters closer together, similar to my wives HEL style? It's crazy how many folks around here think my 2023 is a first gen 60's Bronco, so might as well keep fooling them, LOL!

I also have adapters for my Fifteen 52 wheel center caps to accept the 1st gen red center caps, but I never bought them... Wondering if I should do that too, because people keep asking me what the big "52" on my center caps means....

The adapters along with the 1st gen caps will make my wheels look like this:

I removed my old, huge Bulletpoint accessory mount thingy today and installed this much smaller version they made. I had to order a longer arm, because the one on the old mount was in a different spot.
