I had one alert like that when my Factor 55 hook tilted down a little. Straightened it up and message went away

I want a winch set up, but I do not want to get rid of my adaptive cruise control. So that would be very frustrating for me.

If you read this thread you'll find success stories with no special workaround and ACC works fine with the winch. It's quite literally the title of the thread...

Yeah, I mounted the FP Winch kit to my Raptor. Didnโ€™t touch the ACC, drilled the plate for the parking sensors and mounted them with the available pigtail adaptors. All works as factory for past 20,000 miles.

Just to chime in with one more: I have the ford performance mount and adaptive cruise control + parking sensors. I've never had any issues with the winch interfering with the adaptive cruise control. I was careful to zip tie wires high, but it's been a non-issue.

The winch plate is not easy to drill, so I have the parking sensors in separate 3D printed mounts adhered with double-sided automotive tape. That's actually held up really well also. It does mean that the two sensors on the winch plate detect things differently because they're farther out. (e.g. more beeps from brush / grass if driving on a 2-track or overgrown trail) But it all works the way it should. The parking sensors let you know where the front of the winch is relative to the wall/etc.

The front camera relocation can mean the camera is a touch out of focus. There's also a more obvious seam in the 360 mode where the front camera goes to the sides. I'm sure it's probably _possible_ to change all of that via a recalibration of some sort, but I have no idea how to do it, and it's minor enough that it really doesn't bug me.

The biggest downside is loss of approach angle and more weight on the front. I do get noticeable break dive, though the suspension changes helped that a lot. The approach angle reduction is what it is. The hidden winch options avoid that, but they mean you can't easily see the spool and check the winding. The Ford one has it all out in the open where you can make sure the winch is spooled correctly and fix snags/etc in the line. That's pretty darn critical if you actually use the winch. So I'll take the approach angle downsides. Usability of the winch is worth it.

Great write up @jofer thank you!

Do you have a pic from the front that shows how you routed and tucked the wiring? Debating whether I should just tuck wiring or things need to be re-routed and then tucked ๐Ÿ™Œ

Much gratitude for the share! ๐Ÿ™

Now that I'm taking pictures of it, I didn't actually do that good of a job of keeping them high... I should probably put an extra zip tie on to hold them higher. But either way, this hasn't caused problems, fwiw. In this location, they're using the official / pre-drilled holes + clips. (On the sides it's different than the install instructions because I have the capable bumper and not the modular bumper. Near the ACC sensor, it's just following the official instructions, though.)

Bonus pretty picture with the winch just because...

@jofer SO kind of u to take these photos, really helps to troubleshoot ๐Ÿ‘ Seems my wires are tucked away on top more than yours, but the BIG difference is the passenger side wires ๐Ÿ™Œ I'm going to focus there and see how it goes. ๐Ÿ™

MUCH gratitude!
