Is the JKS max clearance kit always necessary for 37 tires?

I have the back part of a JKS if someone needs it pay to ship. I had the back from my 3" body lift. They move the back as part of the lift.

Love the feedback! I have 37s and a 17X9 wheel with +12 ready to go on soon.
The 37x12.5 Blackhawk Ridgecrawler RT is measuring 36 even, when non mounted on the wheel.
I'm expecting with only a 1.5 front level, and 1/2 inch rear, to be right in there with little to no rub on this set up.

I appreciate the guidance and pics for trimming the crash bar mounts if necessary.
Thanks @BigMeatsBronco and @GI_Jo_Nathan!

I rather not do a JKS if not needed!

Here is another caveat....did everyone do a Forscan speedo recalibration for the tires to 37??
If not, any issues??
Idk what the others already did, but personally I have the Ford Procal and it has an option to set 37" tires which is what I plan to do since I also wanted the additional power from the tune.

I have considered the FP Procal4, at $800!? The Forscan seems to be more cost effective to get it done. I may end up with a tune before too late. The warranty is my concern as well.
I'm going to discus this with my dealership and see what they charge for the procal4.
If they do it it supposed to be under the 3/36 warranty??

Yea Forscan definitely more cost effective. Every now and then Lethal Performance has them on sale, I think I got mine like $715 shipped or something like that.

I installed the Procal myself, just thew the battery on a trickle-charge and did the install; you need your own laptop because you have to create an account with Ford Performance. My dealership wanted $80 which isn't bad at all, but I decided to do it myself.

Warranty is a difficult one to answer, I read every worst-case scenario discussion in these forums, tons of back and forth debating what-if scenarios, debating subjective and vague warranty language as well as people getting inconsistent answers from Ford, FP, and their dealers. Ultimately I couldn't find a single thread on these forums or any others that had someone claiming a self-installed Procal was a cause for denied warranty work so I just installed it myself.

No problem! Glad to help.
Sounds like you should be fine with those tires.

Yes I have the ProCal. At the time when I bought it it was a really great value, adding auto rev-matching for my manual, and making the auto start stop button work as it should. Apparently all of that's gone now so the value is diminished somewhat. ForScan is definitely the most economical option.

I'll take it for sure - I have the back of the fender liner zip tied after burying a tire into it at speed in the sand.

Forscan works fine for speedo cal - the limit is in the Bronco computer, has little to do with. ProCal vs Forscan

It is easier to recal with ProCal - but Forscan accomplishes the same thing, just make sure you follow all the steps or you get a DTC code

I have learned dealers usually won’t touch a speedo recal. Something about it affecting fuel economy… which makes absolutely zero sense (but I guess is as good as a lot of reasons they have for things)

My factory Goodyears are at the end of their service life so I'm replacing them but I've been seriously considering 37" tires.

I like the factory Sasquatch wheels my Wildtrak came with so I really don't want to replace them.
You may want to look into aftermarket wheels which will give you the better offset (+12 to -6 works well) and reduce the weight compared to the stock Sas wheels by 7-9 lbs and that helps offset the tire weight increase. I have 17x9 with -6 offset and BFG KO2 37's C rated which run a little smaller and no rubbing with 2" front and 1" rear lift. Plus, the stock Sas wheels might be the hardest wheels to clean.
