Big Bend clearance for bigger tires

I came across this video on youtubes and i'm pretty confident i can go up on sidewall on this big boy.
Really excited to go wheel and tire shopping now for my BIGBEND.

How much bigger is the most important question.

Turn the wheels hard left and hard right AND articulate them through their entire range ....any rubbing???
No= Good to Go ...
Yes = lift or spacers or wheels with better offset ....or whatever to stop the rubbing.
Point is, a vid of it going in a straight line tells you very little.

285's ("33's")on a Big Bend, no problem , only half an inch taller overall than the factory Big Bend wheels. 32.1" vs 32.7"

35's ...Hmmm, much different story.

I was planning on sticking to around Stock so 33's would be perfect. Don't want to mess with my Gas mileage too much. I have to travel at least a entire state plus mine to get to the good stuff. lol Then it will be overlanding and MTB'g Heaven.

I’m sure 32s will work great. Aesthetically, they just too small for me. I don’t think that 33s will look much better. I‘m not going for the brodozer look but the stock offset looks weak too.

I don‘t need to go full Sasquatch but I like the proportions of a 35” tire. Too bad they don’t have a mini-squatch option for just 35s on the base or BB with correct gearing and speedo calibration.

KO2's.

I know alot of people love the Grapplers, and I do like the look of them myself. But the set on my wife's Jeep remind me of the old Goodyear's.... They are slippery as hell. They slip with quick acceleration, they slip going around a wet turn. I'm not a fan of them.

Duratracs are ridiculously loud on asphalt which may or may not be an issue for you.

Depends on the width of tire and whether or not you need new wheels as well.
Quick estimate, figure $2k+. For tires, wheels & mount and balance. Should push $2500 pretty easily.


Edit: a year ago I put 285's and new Pro Comp wheels on wife's Jeep. Out the door I was at like $2300. So that's a pretty good starting point.

Per Ford at one of the Q&As. 33s will fit OBX and under but are not recommended. This tells me straight line there would probably be no issues. Anything else may cause rubbing.

I'm waiting it out to find out what allows the Badlands to run 33s. Hopefully it's only stiffer springs. But I'm sure there will be more to it.

Around. Oops, just noticed that was on a 15. add about 25 to 35 a tire to go up to 17's
