I bought the truck used with one recall (windshield adhesion). Then I accumulated seven total open recalls waiting on the LPFP remedy (the one that concerned me the most, but now engine bay fires are no fun either). Then the Infotainment screen black out issue got fix with an OTA update! Yeah, down to six recalls! Then this one came along. Booooo, back to seven. Maybe I will wait to hit 10 before I get them fixed.

Check with the NTSB. My 2021 has 7 Unrepaired Recalls associated with this VIN 1FMDE5CP2MLA80958. I am waiting till we get to ten also or a fix for the fuel pump.

Want to make sure you're aware, you're allowed to change your own oil while under warranty.

Oh definitely but it's covered under the service plan. I'm taking advantage of that until I "have" to change it myself. Same with my tire rotations. Can i do it? Absolutely. Do I want to? They're a little heavy so not really. Plus the shop rotates/balances for free since I purchased my tires from them

I have 1 visit left under warranty. Hopefully no new recalls pop up after that visit. Rest assured, all oil changes will be done in the driveway after my last visit.

Recalls are handled free of charge, in or out of factory warranty.

Yeah, I know. If you read earlier in the thread you'll see @userdude made a joke about me being the cause for all the new recalls. All fun and games. So maybe all the recalls will cease cuz I won't be going to the dealership for service anymore.

Yikes. I'll never understand why some individuals think all work NEEDS to be done at the dealer. Only reason I would ever consider doing that is if I planned on selling the vehicle. That ain't happening. Driving this bronco until the wheels fall off......unless this wiring harness takes me out before then

You mean this s*** show? I was pretty shocked when I got this open. Rerouted it yesterday while removing that beehive crap back there.

And I doubt that's the one, seems to be stuff going to the rear.

Is this in the front passenger wheel well? What did you use to shield that?

This is directly behind the driver front tire. It's underneath that honeycomb piec, and at the body mount. Once you relocate everything else it's in a pretty vulnerable spot. Arguably it's already in a really vulnerable spot if that area was to get hit like someone else mentioned. I just used some split Loom from the parts store, 3/4 inch. Not really able to put anything better on it due to having the plugs on the other end.

If you look up directly under that area you'll be able to see the plastic housing snaking around the body mount.

Edit: To be more specific, I used the braided split loom. Not the hard plastic garbage.

Did you delete the honeycomb piece? Or reinstall it?

A question for @Ducati1098 relating to recalls. I had the front driveshaft recall and removed my Asfir transmission skid before taking it in and plan to do the same when I get the fuel pump recall done as the skid is not OEM and maybe not considered part of the covered recall repairs. I also have a RC hidden winch which could in theory be in the way for this one (and would be a pain to remove), wiring for various aftermarket stuff on the drivers inner fender and mudflaps which would be in the way if it's the fenderwell harness.

What's the policy on dealing with non OEM parts that need to be removed to complete recall repairs?
