I couldn’t find a weight. 56 pounds is very reasonable, but I don’t think I’d risk the E.

The OEM KO2s on my 2021 non-sas Badlands are LTs, E-rated. Not sure about the previous comments on the “risk” with E-rated tires…maybe I missed something?

The OEM KO2s on my 2021 non-sas Badlands were definitely C-rated. The 285/70R17 KO2 is available in C or E, Ford puts C on out trucks. If yours came with E it was a mistake. Ford buys enough tires that they can get whatever spec they want.
E rated tires ride hard because they are designed for heavy 3/4 ton and larger trucks. Lighter vehicles don’t have the weight to make them perform properly. Many people will make excuse after excuse as to why E are great on a light vehicle, but my personal experience on a half ton truck was that it ruined the ride/handling/fuel economy. I had a set of D rated tires on my 1987 Bronco for a five year cycle, they didn’t grip the rocks in AZ for shit compared to the C rated I had previously. I was airing down to 12 psi on the D vs 15 on the C. Below 12 psi I was denting rims. My next set was C and everything was fine again.
Tire Rack agrees on the OEM spec.

So, perhaps my confusion lies in the LT designation on my OEM KO2s. Though I can’t seem to find the specs for BFG, I had assumed a tire designated LT would be at least a D rating, while P-designation is for lower load ratings like C. Are your tires also LTs?

I believe the Nitto Ridge Grappler has a Load C in that size. Very quiet on the road and ok in the rocks.
Did you ever switch to the LT285/75 R17 Outpost nAT tires? I have a 23' Badlands 4dr/6cyl (non-SAS). I am concerned about the ride becoming even harsher coming from my OEM 285/70 R17 KO2's. Sounds like Nokian uses aramid fiber to achieve it instead of increasing rubber ply like most. Even still, jumping up two ratings.
Do those who have the E-rated Nokian Outpost nATs ride too stiff for daily driving... do they still flex and contour to rocks when aired down? Lastly what daily on-road pressures are you running?

I will as fall gets closer. A couple more months.
The Toyos, I ran around 30/32 in the summer, in the winter I was pushing 28 trying to get them to grip.
I eventually gave up on them and went back to the factory 30" Bridgestones. Much safer in every condition.
What really attracts me to the Nokians and Mickey Thompson Baja AT's was the winter test/review by tyrereviews.com.....Plus a lot of solid reviews from normal folks for the Mickey T's.
Both did really well in the winter tests, I think both were LT rated tires.
As far as ride harshness, there are a number of good brands that have a SL rated 285/70-17. They will be softer riding and the rubber compound will be more pliable as well (more grip).
LT tires usually use a firmer compound, I'd guess to reduce wear under heavy loads.
